Opioids Vicodin to ease sub withdrawal?

Long story short, I'm on a low dose of subs (.25mg daily) and ran out before I could get my script refilled. I'm out of town until tomorrow and was wondering if a low dose of vicodin would be helpful in tiding me over? Not looking to catch a buzz, just looking to minimize chills/restless legs, etc. - Just unsure if the Vicodin could have any effect if I have a sub tolerance.

I'm not sure since I don't know your history with opiates or your tolerance. You're on a very low dose of bupe so it's possible.. you can give it a try. But wait till you're feeling WD symptoms before you take the hydrocodone because bupe has a very long half life.

If you only have a day or two to go, don't take the hydrocodone. You'll then have to wait for withdrawals to start to take your buprenorphine or face terrible withdrawals. Just get through the day, and wait until you get your Suboxone refilled - you'll be very glad you did.

yeah agreed. just take the minimal amount to tide you and manage the symptoms without getting high so you can stretch them as far as possible until you get your refill.

loperamide (imodium) is another possibility as well. i've been using it in conjunction with low doses (25-50mg) of promethazine to help with runny nose.
