Vicks Vapour Rub???

I tend to carry one around, but only use it occassionally. It doesn't "blow me up"-- just feels nice, like a little wave of freshness rolling through your head.

Only in some countries amyl nitrate is illegal, it is legal in NZ the difference is the strength butyl nitrate is very weak to amyl nitrate and doesnt last as long (keep in fridge) amyl is sold in most of the clubs here, not just sex stores. Ive been to a party and seen a girl with her head on fire due to someone sniffing poppers on the dance floor, and another smoking a cigarette. Anyone remember amyl house? it was a phase back in the early house music days...

I have looked high and low and I have not found a single source that has said that nitrites damage the brain or CNS.

Just because it's inhaling something doesn't mean it's chroming! Just because poppers have a weird chemical smell doesn't make them as bad as sniffing paint!

Please either show me a source that backs up your assertion that poppers are as bad as chroming or take back your assertion. There are risks associated with immune system supression, and heart worries, but I haven't found anything that says that poppers are as bad as chroming.

ok, I have done the vicks inhaler a few times, but it was way back when I first started pilling. I seriously can't remember if you're supposed to inhale through your mouth or nose... damn memory...

Last time I did it was at a party over a year ago (first time in ages since i'd done it) and I inhaled it through my nose... I SWEAR people were looking at me all weird for doing that... or was I just seriously paranoid? lol

Yeah eyes are a no no...
But some of my mates like to blow thru the vicks inhaler so that it goes directly into the eyes and around the face...
Done it a few times...But yeah eyes just farkin kane after awhile and like u said, tears start to become abundant!

Stick to the nostrils IMHO...
 
isn't amyl popular in gay clubs? something to do with relaxing the muscles in your anus or something like that?

Hmmm can now see why LOL - they sell em at the rave clubs and even the 24 / 7 foodstores in the CBD.

Its an antidote (sp?) for cyanide poisoning (rangers use cyanide for killing off possums and you can get amyl here in little plastic capsules, available in forestry first aid kits)

No, not 'meh'.

This is a harm reduction website here to give people real information instead of the bullshit folklore that most drug users and non users believe. If you don't know something for sure then don't say it.

Syntech man I'm not having a go at you, more pointing out that nobody is immune from believing stuff without having real information on it. I myself thought that poppers would be as bad as sniffing glue at first, and when my mates first started passing them around I would never take part because the smell of the chemical and the method of administration (inhaling vapour) just didn't sit right with me.

I still doesn't use them much because I don't really enjoy the feeling unless I'm on pills, but at least now I know that my friends aren't killing off billions of braincells every time they take a whiff off a popper.

I've never heard of inhaling vicks through the mouth...I recon if someone did that I'd probably look at them weird...I've only ever seen it inhaled through the nose or blown onto people's eyes.

I personally don't get off on it that much...it's a nice feeling as it goes through your nasal passages but that's about it. And blowing it on people's eyes...well...if you dig that shit then that's fine but I've never really figured out what people see in it.

amyl is popula in gay clubs. i dont think it relaxs your ass but it does help with achieving an orgasm when it seems unachievable after a big night on the bicks. i have tryed it a few times, the buzz was good but very temporary and the head ache after doesnt make it worth the experience, after all it is just head cleaning solution for your video.

AFAIK, alkyl nitrites are vasodilators and smooth muscle relaxants - so bigger 'gasms AND floppy ring thing %)

They ARE NOT video head cleaner - just sometimes sold as this (isopropyl alcohol is head cleaner)

The worst that has happened to me on amyl is passing out for a few seconds (going too hard... :\ ). It is nice on E, on the dance floor. It is fun while tripping (as is nitrous oxide). Just keep it away from open flames, and don't spill it on your skin as it will burn it!

I think the prejudice against nitrites is the whole "natural v. synthetic" garbage. Give me synthetic LSD 25 over natural datura stramonium any day ;)
 
well after skimming through that article BT posted i think its definate that nitrites are no good, even if i was wrong and they dont melt your brain....instead they mutate your chromosomes......nice.
 
^ the website linked to via BT's post should be taken with a grain of salt. It is a "HIV does not cause AIDS" site - in other words, complete bullshit. Please check your sources before getting too excited about poppers being bad.
 
I alwas make sure i have got vicks inhaler before raves or vicks medic its in the spray can its nothing to get excited about but its a good buzz like smokes and stuff we usally spray the vicks medic into is small soft toys or arm bands and it gives ya a small buzz, smells nice and is every enjoyable when your pinging give it a try next time u go out might be plesanlty surprised!!
