Vicks Levmetamfetamine

I was always under the impression that vicks inhalers contained levo-methamphetamine. Now when I go to the website it lists it as Levmetamfetamine. Is this the same thing, just trying to not scare the mommy's and daddy's with the word methamphetamine? I'm not trying to make drugs or anything like that I just thought it was funny and wondered if it was the same thing :)
 
I've also wondered if they spelled it like that with intent to discourage recognition.
Those enhalers do contain l-desoxyephedrine, so yes it is l-methamphetamine. You can extract it pretty easily, and its not completely inactive. Probably not worth the effort.
 
Well interestingly enought that is just spanish for methamphetamine I believe. It was changed on the product ingredient list from l-desoxyephedrine by Vicks. The DEA protested the change.
Sounds like Vicks wanted to make some money from little spanish kids looking for meth?
Your probably better off buying some damn ephedrine.
