[VIC] Strawberry Fields Festival | 2010

Ugh, humid, thunderstormy and rainy. Eeeek! I bought some glittery gumboots today in preparation.

I better go gumboot hunting tomorrow after work me thinks.

The hubby got me a camel pack today!! Woo!! :D

This is gonna go off, rain hail or shine!
 
Last minute decision to jump ship from shine on to strawberry.

Last year was some serious messy fun. Plus the line up and site for this one has got me sold.

Shame about the rain and the mosquitos but what can you do! Bushmans seem to have no effect on them.

Cant believe how well the site held up considering how much rain we had.

DFRS kept an eye for you but there is always next time!
 
I know man i kept an eye out for you too and managed to bump into so many people, but not you! Oh well, next time indeed :)

We had a ball as well, the mosquito's were brutal! The grass seeds were lethal! And the rain was insane, but it was such a good site it really did hold up well!! I saw only a few cars get bogged, one being a caravan. Not sure if it was an ideal site to take a caravan to, but oh well.

I just can't get over how good the vibe was too! Everyone was so lovely and friendly. I really love doofs like that where people are so kind to one and other.

I do think it's sad to see people still being disrespectful to the land though and leaving so much rubbish behind. I mean seriously, WTF! Some sites were left as if they didn't even attempt to use a bin....fair enough there are volunteer cleaners, but that's not the point. We need to keep the doof scene alive and everyone needs to chip in to help, and that is by just simply cleaning up after yourselves and being kind to one and other. It's not hard :\

But yeah all in all, a great weekend and it was so so needed for the hubby and i. Having a nasty cold the whole time was not pleasant but i didn't let it ruin my mood! The vibe was so good there that i don't think really anything could have brought me down! Also making the hard but wise choice to not partake in any psychedelics since i wasn't well was a good idea. I still had a blast regardless, probably danced more than usual in fact!

So yeah, great weekend! Now i am sick as a dog but it was so so soooo worth it!!

Thanks Strawberry Crew for putting on a great event, and i look forward to attending many more in the future! :D<3
 
yeah i kinda wish that i went to this instead of going to shine on.. stupid weather.. *shakes fist* however.. sonkite/minilogue, pig and dan and bass bin laden were awesome @ shine on
