Viable DMT sources?

It seems that the DEA has recently made it one of their missions to make it much harder to obtain mimosa hostilis as a source for NNDMT. Does anybody know of any other viable plant sources?

The strongest and most commonly used, as far as i know, are Diplopterys Cabrerana and Psychotria Viridis, both are easily found around the ethnobotanicals sites.
I never had any problem buying them online, they should be legal there too but i don't live in usa so check it.

We don't do sourcing here so we can't tell you about ordering IMO. I haven't ever done anything like that so I wouldn't really be able to help you anyways.

Mimosa Hostilis is a really popular tree. I grew up in a house with several Mimosa Hostilis trees in the back yard. If you're patient, just grow a few trees, can't hurt.

I partially agree there ^ this thread is not in immediate violation of sourcing rules but I don't see the point in asking that kind of question.
You can assume that people do use other plant sources, yes. Also, not all of those plants may be as potent as Mimosa and they can contain a lot more plant gunk especially if it is leaves (I thought this to be true for P. Viridis) which means you will need to do a defatting step during the extraction.

So you got names for alternative plant sources now, you know that there may be downsides like lower yield... I suggest you continue on joining discussing extraction in the Big & Dandy DMT extraction thread and/or check the forum on DMT-Nexus where this subject matter is expertly covered.

I normally don't do suggesting of outsourcing or forwarding but sites like the Shroomery and DMT Nexus are just so very specialized I would never deprive anyone of that. Of course we do welcome discussion of all related topics here as well. Just on another order of magnitude.

Good luck. Are you good to go?

Yeah i guess I am good to go. Ive pretty much verified what i was thinking originally but it's always good to get some other opinions. I guess at this point it would be good to hear if anyone has had any trouble with the law in procuring these plants if anyone has any anectdotes I would definitely be very interested in hearing them

I've heard that plants that most plants containing psychedelic compounds are actually legal even though the substances they contain may be illegal. Not sure about this though, it'd be better if someone confirmed this before you began ordering a load of plants to your house.

Here's a wikipedia entry about the legality of plants:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayahuasca#Legal_status

plants containing it are not subject to international control

Page where that quote is from:

http://www.maps.org/pipermail/maps_forum/2001-March/003376.html

Actual quote:

The cultivation of plants from which psychotropic substances are obtained is not controlled by the Vienna Convention. . . . Neither the crown (fruit, mescal button) of the Peyote cactus nor the roots of the plant Mimosa hostilis nor Psilocybe mushrooms themselves are included in Schedule 1, but only their respective principles, mescaline, DMT and psilocin.

Anyway Mimosa Hostilis imo it is still the best one also because is the easiest one for making the brew, the root bark is easy to boil untill the liquid is little enough to drink while with P.Viridis and D.Cabrerana the leaves absorb much more water so it's more complicated to reach a small amunt of liquid, and that brew taste it is really horrible; most of the times people i saw drinking it vomited shortly after.

Personally i tried only with Virola Theidora and it didn't work, after that attempt i coudn't try anymore because i started treatment with SSRIs for years and i just quitted it few days ago, so i am planning to try again in the near future with the 'traditional dmt plants' this time.

Anyway i made the brew for other friends in the past, using those 3 plants, boiling them for hours in water + lemon juice and they had awesome experiences from what they told me.
So i don't think there is so much difference in terms of effects between those plants, all should contain good quantities of DMT.
I used 3 to 5gr of P.Harmala as MAOi and 25/30gr of any of those plants as DMT source and the brew produced strong +++ experiences.
I never used Banisteriopsis Caapi just because it is expensive and you need 'much', i don't know if there is any cosiderable difference with Harmala.

Anyway gl ;)
