Veterinarian drug helps fight depression

7zark7 > You were right, no need to say anything more. :) You are right on the money, not everyone is going to find it extremely addictive, and i mentioned above you were right about the vet part too.

Of course some people abuse it and get extremely addicted to it as well, but thats the same with most drugs hey. Some do some don't.

For those that may not have seen it -

I disagree. You don't need to hole to recieve the benefits in this specifc realm.
I meantioned MXE because it's even more effective at this imo because of how long it lasts, but a lot more psychedelic from my own experience.

Any drug can be labled escapist, even caffiene.

I personally find MXE to lack the robust anti-depressant action of ketamine. It certainly was there, but not in the intensity that was ketamine. I found DXM to have equal anti-depressant qualities of MXE.

Really? That would be awesome.

Yup, I couldn't believe the local news even covered this. They said that ketamine is too dangerous to use as a prescription (lol) so scientists are testing a research chemical (mxe) to see if they can use it instead.

It would be awesome for mxe to have a legitimate medical use, so it wouldn't be fully banned.

Obviously everyone's definition of addiction is different (I prefer: physical withdrawal symptoms upon cessation of use), but to say it's extremely addictive - a term that should be used for substances such as nicotine, alcohol, opiates, etc. - again puts the drug in a bad light.

Addiction is the craving, what you're describing is dependence.

Strangely I found MXE to have the opposite effect to ketamine re: depression.

As the article said and most people will testify, I always feel great after a K session, usually for several days. But MXE actually gives me a slight comedown in the 12 - 24 hours or so following the high ending (although the high itself is awesome), and back to baseline after that.

Still a fun drug, but it's not K :(

To be more on-topic: I too have very depressive tendencies (and am mildly bipolar - never given a 1/2 by doctors though), and find a Ketamine session to be highly therapeutic in many ways. In addition to the lasting AD effects of the drug, I'm often able to work though difficult mental issues while under the influence of K.

You might actually have bad mxe, I've heard of mxe cut with tiletamine having a dysphoric comedown from a couple of friends who've had it. On the other hand I always feel great after using mxe. And alot of other people do too, so idunno.

^I was going to mention that too. Real MXE gives a much longer afterglow than ketamine. ..More like almost a solid month instead of a couple days.

Tiletamine is some bogus crap. Completely void and empty. Save that stuff for putting down the real animals.
