Very Impressed- Poppy Seed Tea

Also, another question....

I've been using this tea just about daily for a month now...

I've DEFINITELY noticed a tolerance, as at first I needed like 150grams and now I need like over a pound to feel the effects (and they felt stronger at 150grams than now lol)...

I also notice withdrawel symptoms the day after I do seeds...and I don't know how strong they are because I use the seeds every day....I feel kinda "weird" in a bad way in the morning...and usually have a headache...runny nose...etc....

How long should it take for the withdrawel symptoms to go away?

I *was* inexperienced with opiates til I found out about this seed thing...and I plan on stopping using them during my spring break because I wont have school for a week and can focus on that...so I wanna know what kinda ride I am in for...

Dont bother reprocessing more than once- morphine is very soluable. For this reason you should not leave the seeds soaking for more than 10 mins and do not use boiling water. The tea will also be sickening, having to deal with a thick layer of poppy oil.

Promethazine is used for allergys, hayfever ...

you're saying don't let sit for more than 10 min?
I've read of putting grapefruit juice with seeds in bottle
shake for a few minutes every 10 min. for an hour then let sit for 1-2 hrs.

what happens if you let it sit the whole day?
somebody tried a half pound from an indian store, but it didn't work, I think the reason is that they let it sit the whole day, thinking the grapefruit juice would soak it all up. Should they go back and try the same stuff and not let it sit the entire day, since they're thinking of wanting to raise it to a pound and a half.

Since that didn't work they went to a different store and bought a brand mentioned around here, 280grams. Although it was much more expensive than at the indian store. Atleast it worked, but it only worked once, they tried to refilter after it had been sitting for atleast a day and there were no effects.

I was going to dismiss this post, but i've experience what you are talking about. The seed tea i've left soaking for 15 minutes will get me a whole lot more fucked up than the seed tea i've left soaking for hours. I'm still wondering if this is placebo or if there is a scientific reason for this.

I always reuse the seeds 3-4 times. And i know for a fact it works. Cause i've done extractions on seeds 3 times. Then let it soak a 4th time, but waited a couple days to lower my tolerance. When i drank the liquid after a couple days, i definately felt the morphine.

I can't believe how many threads there suddenly are on pod tea/seed tea. I'd hate to see things happen with pods and seeds like how RC's became illegal and caused a bunch of people a lot of headaches with the law.
I just don't see anything being answered in all these new threads (which seem to pop up everyday here and in Drug Basics) that hasn't been answered a plethora of times.

One difference between the pods/seeds and RC's though, is they have a legitimate use in decoration and in cooking. We probably should try to tone it down and not spread the info--the reason this stuff get's banned isn't because a lot more people start doing it, it's because idiots and teenagers start misusing it and giving it lot's of bad press. Pods have been around for years but the feds don't bust down the sites because it isn't a wide-spread problem.

When I originally started this thread, I UTFSE and barly got any responses for "poppy seed tea," now there is this thread, which contains alot of useful information, and a couple other threads...

They wont make seeds ilegal; it's impossible because it is used in baking...

I am going to stop using the tea though, as I've been using it ALOT lately and need to stop lol

abcd- see my extraction method earlier in this thread.. Try it out, definately do not let sit for hours!!! It will get rank! You also dont want the seeds themselves absorbing all the solution! all you want is the trace amount of opium on the outside of the seeds to be washed into the solution and citric acid /grapefruit juice/lemon juice helps this process.

I give up...

For the person asking about "chemists and doctors..." Chemist is just the English expression for pharmacist...not a person who engages in bonafide chemistry.

Yea this is smart....everybody, argue about how good it is and the cheapness, ease of obtaining seeds...and then hurry and go buy pounds of seeds at a time from stores and make sure thats the only item your buying also, then go tell all your fiends about it and spread the word all over internet too. Now, bitch about how stores won't sell you bulk amounts of them at a time....yea, keep this up and the authorities will put an end to this also. They might not make them illegal but, they'll make sure you have a helluva hard time obtaining them, just like the pods which now most floral places don't even carry anymore...or better yet, sell to business or licensed chefs only. Also, when they find out about how much latex leftovers on seeds...you'll be buying seeds so clean they'll shine like a bald mans waxed head. Just another victom of popularity...

Speaking of over-popularity, poppy seeds have already been banned from supermarkets in New Zealand...

There's a new menace on the horizon down in Tasmania: the no-morphine poppy, genetically engineered for a specific purpose, which is to produce thebaine and oripavine for conversion to pharms like oxycodone. I suppose producing such a poppy was inevitable but it still enrages and horrifies me. Too many raids on the poppy fields were the likely cause of this and I'm inclined to assume that Tasmania supplies all or most of Australia's poppy seeds. I suppose it won't be long before the new poppies replace some of the ones containing morphine, sweet sweet morphine, and hence poppy seeds will still be easily available but useless for anything but cooking. In Australia, at least.

My fellow Australians, I suggest savouring the moment while you still can. You Americans have it pretty good, since you can get seeds that probably aren't produced in Tasmania. Not to mention pods -- haven't these been readily available for ages with your government still not doing a thing about it?

Leo...

Leo, the poppy you mention is not new. It is the "Norman" variety from the Tasmanian Alkaloid concern and it was bred because thebaine is a very valuable susbtance. Of course Somniferum normally has only minute concentrations of thebaine so commercial producers were longing for a high thebaine content poppy. There is no danger of Norman supplanting other Somniferum varieties because thebaine is valuable in of itself but worldwide, morphine is a much bigger seller. It is about economics, not threat of diversion.

Theoretically though, a high thebaine yielding poppy could be even more of an illicit drug threat than morphine. This is due to the fact that it can be used to make etorphine and its dihydroderivative. Such compounds are over one thousand times more potent than morphine. Although it is not easy to make it is not exactly impossible. It is not very likely either though but if thebaine becomes more available than it is now then the odds of it happening would be likely to increase.
