Fizz is right. The never ending subject of poppy seeds strikes again! As Fizz said, seeds themselves DO NOT contain ANY alkaloids. There is some residual coating but by and far most seeds available in supermarkets, etc. are pressure washed and wothless. As I have said many times [andeven once here in this thread], one is much better advised to acquire dried pods from floral supply shops and brew your tea the right way. Bottoms up.
