who'll teach life to cradled children
esteems' high for the few fabled willing
be better people than your parents were
and remember,
"only the strong survive"
and don't forget to pass on that lie
don't forget to lie everytime they ask why
it's better they never know someday they'll die
until it's too late
wait, maybe, let me think about this
should we tell them everything concerning this abyss
this universe, this earth, this life, this curse
of deaths and wars
and of thier own childrens' births'
of adam and eve
and who ate the apple first
what's worse? what could go wrong?
if we all stopped singing them the same old song
and what if we told everything we knew
and by the time they were seven they knew more than two plus two
would it make a difference to even a few?
if from the moment they're born they're taught to resolve
could eventually the entire race evolve
i think so
then again i think not
but what's to lose
i'd give it a shot
