Manipulative attention whores. People who make up dramatic situations to manipulate people to attain more and more mental or emotional involvement. People who lie about very heavy situations like rape, imprisonment, health crises, etc to use or toy with other people.

You've just described my mom. ;)

People who are narrow-minded, self-righteous, racist & also super religous people!!!
And especially people that judge people on how they look cuz you can look one way but act totally different!

Slow drivers in the left lane. This literally drives me mad. I am stumped by the fact that so many people seem oblivious to the fact that you should not be in the left lane unless you are passing someone on the right or going faster than the flow of traffic. You don't just chill in the left lane at your own speed.

Grr.

Also, people who slam doors. I had a room mate who would slam her door so hard that things on my shelf would shake, even when her room was all the way on the other side of the apartment. She would open her door, slam it shut, walk to the kitchen for water and two seconds later she would open it again before slamming it once more. I have no idea why she felt the need to slam it shut every time she left her room for two seconds. In order to slam the door as hard as she did, you had to really put some serious effort into it because of the way the air flow was in the apartment (if that makes sense). I mean it took quite a lot to actually slam it that hard... It was like she was pissed about something and taking it out on the door... every.single.day.

Ah, it feels good to finally get that off my chest. Thankfully I just moved out of that apartment and into the nicest place I've ever lived with someone I love to be around.

User Name Here, Eric Berne actually wrote quite a bit about door slamming. I think his sort of psychoanalytical take on it was that it was related to sexual tension. For bystanders, I agree with you that it is mostly just annoying, regardless of what drives ppl to do it.

What are some things that annoy you?

Mine are men with a God complex. Or saying goodbye to anyone I love. Never having a normal relationship thats healthy, either on my end or theirs.

Your turn......

Only several things annoy me, problem is they are like a thorn the size of a sword in lord of the rings in my side.

Women; can't live with em, can't live without em.

Men who are arrogant; most men are pigs, add being cocky to that list, even worse.

People who are fake or "yesmen" I can't talk to them.

Drug tolerance: this will be the end of me

The direction our culture is headed; and the place it is in; We are focused on hero worship, women must be thin to be beautiful. Wealth is owned by 1% of the population (i'm not poor by any means and this pisses me off). Unrealistic standards are set for both men and women by T.V., magazines, movies, any form of media. Quite annoying and shallow.

end rant.

oh heck Ill add a few things I love; being close to ones who I love, my health, my spirituality, my financial security, my car, helping people, my Golden Retrievers <3, my fellow Jews, I love any person who has no problem with other person's religion. If you don't like Jews get to the end of the line and we'll answer you when we're done running the world (IM SO JOKING CHILL LOL - little humor, let a jewish guy get a shot in for once ;)

[Really though, Catholics, Protestants, Presbyterians, Baptists, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Agnostics, Sikhs, I judge not by their religion but the character].

People who mill around behind me, or strangers who give me the stink-eye.
Pieces of broken concrete & garbage left on the sides of roads. And sometimes I'll catch myself driving in the dead-center of the road.

people who slam doors. I had a room mate who would slam her door so hard that things on my shelf would shake

If I hear a door slam loud enough, I'm already halfway to hitting the deck before I realize I'm being an idiot. Then my nerves are usually shot for the next 30min or so....

people who let their kids control them and basically let their kids do whatever they want

how not enough people are concerned with the deadly obesity epidemic, and people are even saying you should be "proud of being overweight." that's like saying you should be proud of being anorexic. being overweight/obese kills 400,000 people a year, almost as much as tobacco (which kills 435,000 a year). over 60% of the USA population is overweight or obese.

anyone who is a member of the "tea party" group

myspace. it's filled with skanky 15 year old girls, wannabe gangstas, and people who think that taking 3689426 pictures of your face at different angles and then photoshopping them is cool

people who think they know everything because they are a parent (you will hear them say things like, "as the parent of a 3 year old, I...") especially the minivan driving soccer mom type who will scream at you if you drive 5 miles over the speed limit or bitch at you if you are smoking a cigarette in public

Lot of annoyance here. That's good! Give's you a chance to get it off your chest.

Several annoyances in my life that mirror some already noted.

Big ones are, running low on meds and "making arrangements" to have to taper till the next script. People knowing what you got and always hitting you up for "1 or 2", "just to get through the day, you know", always saying "I know you really need them" but asking/begging nonetheless.

I just tell them now that the dr cut my prescription down low, and I absolutely cannot give any away, works.

Slow, left lane drivers get me also. Neighbor knocking on my bedroom window at 7:30 in the morning to wake me up for some lame bullshit. My ex wife, of 25 years, that says she wants to be friends and be able to talk to one another, NEVER answering the phone when I call to ask/discuss something really simple. I really think she is pissed because of how well I have come out of all this, and the fact I am obviously enjoying my life- WITHOUT her in it! Last of all, for this post, I get really, really, annoyed with opiate turds that always clog the toliet!

1. Incompetent doctors who don't know what they're talking about. A doctor once suggested that I completely stop my 6mg's of clonazepam a day and replace it with just 20mg's of diazepam. Anyone who knows anything about benzo equivalencies will know that 20mg's of diazepam isn't nearly enough to match 6mg's of clonazepam!

2. Cops. The police in my city are a bunch of cowboys. I once saw a patrol car slowly drive up behind a man riding a bicycle and blast its air horn, causing the man to fall off his bike. The cops both laughed and drove off. I've also had a few run-in's with them myself, and have suffered multiple injuries while getting thrown to the floor, cuffed, etc.

3. Idiots who post shit like "will Seroquel get me high?" here on Bluelight. Next time I see one of those posts I'll be tempted to reply with "sure! take 500mg's and see how you feel!" :|

4. Having to do weekly pick-ups for all my medication. I've overdosed on benzos a few times, so I understand why they want to control my usage of those, but why do this to ALL my medication? I'm not exactly gonna overdose on my hormone tablets, am I? 8)

ROFL P, I hear you on #1, 2, and 3 for sure.

I cannot believe a cop made someone fall off their bike and laughed about it! That's so fucked up!!!

#3 is a big one for me too. It's not that hard to use the search engine, I wonder sometimes, do people see Google and think "what is that box for?" 8)

Personally all the bitching ALL OVER BL right now irritating me.
I don't wanna be mad PT, I wanna be PLUR PT!

These come to mind
1. Getting a one word text. Especially "ok" or "k"
2. Repeating things.
3. Bitching about how a character in a movie isn't doing the right thing every second of the movie. Like wtf, i'm trying to enjoy this shit.

I'll probably post in this thread again because I get annoyed easily. But I'm alone in my room right now so there isn't much annoyance :):)

There's such a wide range of answers I have for this, I'll probably come off as an irascible person or something.

For starters, the number one thing that annoys me then proceeds to drive me absolutely insane is not being able to find something when I need it. It could be a paper, or a dustpan, anything. If I require something and cannot find it in the place that it SHOULD be, then I'm prone to going absolutely mad. It is possibly my single largest pet peeve, without a doubt. Hell, it could be just something I want that I know I have. Well, basically just boils down to misplacing something anyway.

Another thing that annoys me to the point of indignation is when people think they can push me around. In reality, I'm possibly the nicest, most tolerable, reasonable person (though some people would probably think me insane, I find myself to be quite rational) in the world. I don't like being pushed around by ANYONE, for any reason, but I tolerate it anyway. Recently, I was actually pushed over the boiling point by someone, and she has never given me any kind of trouble since then, in fact, she's actually been nice to me.

Another thing that irritates me so much, I saw this through high school and I still see it today, is when people dumb themselves down to impress their friends. It's like being "smart" isn't the cool thing to do. When it is taken to the extreme where someone who has the potential to go to Harvard or some shit just makes sure they get straight C's so that they don't come off as a nerd, I just want to shake that person and ask why the Hell they are letting such potential go to waste. High school ain't that hard, the public education system is getting more and more dumbed down, and yet it's like people deliberately fail classes and shit because that's the cool thing. Personally, I think it's dangerous to society when we have a disturbingly large part of a generation dumbing themselves down just to be cool. I HATE that so goddamn much. I try not to be judgmental about it, I've been guilty of it too, but WHY IS IT COOL TO BE A TOTAL RETARD AND FAIL EVERY CLASS ON PURPOSE?

Well, those are my top three right there. The rest is just random shit.

- Waiting in lines

- Waiting for food

- people who drive in my tailpipe

- people who pull out into traffic without bothering to look, nearly causing me to slam into them with my '94 Jeep, where the only thing that spares their life is quick thinking on my part

- people on 'power trips' even if the abuse is never directed at me (though it tends to be)

- people who always bitch and complain and stuff but never do anything about it (I'm guilty of it too, otherwise it'd be one meriting a long rant like my top three.)

- people who drive like ten miles below the speed limit, and can't take the fucking hint that a train of like ten cars means that maybe they should put their foot on the gas

- people who talk on their cell phones while driving (never guilty of that, trust me, your hair appointment's going to be fine if you're a few minutes late, but it won't be happening if you accidently get yourself or someone else killed because you were making this hugely important phone call)

- people with horribly shitty sound systems where the only thing you hear is bass driving around blasting Dr. Dre like it's cool or something (kinda falls under the whole dumbing oneself down rant imo)

- people who have obnoxiously loud engines on their shitty-ass ghetto looking piece of shit, I just want to tell them to fix their god damn muffler, and that they're not cool, they're just a fucking twat

- people who think they're cool or funny, but in reality everyone fucking hates them but they can't seem to take the god damn hint

- when "That's what she said" is said by the same person constantly, you know, you'll say something that using the joke wouldn't even be funny, but they do it anyway. Well, really, it's when someone uses a very simple joke in a situation in which it wouldn't be remotely funny, they just end up looking like an idiot and annoying everyone.

- the government

- people who ignore the truth, even when it's placed right in front of them, and it completely undeniable

- Sean Hannity

- Rush Limbaugh

- Sarah Palin

- Barack Obama

- Nancy Pelosi

- Barney Frank

- hypocrites (but aren't we all guilty of hypocrisy in one way or another? I've proven that even I can be hypocritical too)

- religious fanatics

- organized religion

- public education

- airports

- going through airport security

- deliberate, dishonest business practice

- Irish flute music

- country music

- mainstream garbage-infested pop music

- people who mess with my head when I'm really stoned

- buzzkills (guilty!)

- people who hate for no reason, I don't care if you hate Jews, gays, or blacks, you have nothing to back yourself up with. Now I kind of understand if a gay guy makes an unwanted advance on you and you tell them NO but they keep doing it anyway, that shit pisses me off too.

- "Drug Free America"

- terrible singers who use this operatic tone that isn't really in tune, is horribly wobbly and just overall annoying to the point that it actually causes me physical discomfort

Uh...that's just about it. Understand though, a lot of these are in varying degrees of how much annoyance they cause me.

Edit: just remembered this one, saw it happen at Wal*Mart the other day. Being excessively obese does not qualify one to park in the handicapped spot, that is reserved for people who actually have a real disability like being paralyzed and being unable to get about in a wheelchair, not for a stupid, fat American that is too goddamn lazy to walk the extra twenty feet. Now if your excessive obesity has actually caused you to damage your legs in some way and it's painful to walk that much, then I feel sympathy for you, look, I'm the most reasonable person around, it might just be because of a real handicap that you weigh close to four hundred pounds. Eh, this is a minor one, just had to cover my bases.

especially the minivan driving soccer mom type who will scream at you if you drive 5 miles over the speed limit or bitch at you if you are smoking a cigarette in public

I've never had this happen to me, where do you live?? If anyone did that to me they would get screamed right back at, don't care if they're a mom, girl, retard, etc.

Something that has been pissing me off lately is charities that are picky
I don't think homeless people are going to care if what they get is brand new or the latest fashion and recently they are only accepting certain soups I mean wtf!

Also teachers that expect you to be best buddies with them like if I walk into a classroom without saying Hi sir how are you doing today :) the teacher will say "Thanks for saying hello" really breaks my balls

People with shitty ass work ethics!!! I could go on and on. Do your damn job. I see people actually spending more time trying to get out of work than the time it would have taken get the job done. Going behind somebody and doing their work, because they know somebody else will do it.
people who dont treat treat their animals with flea medicane. I havnt visited friends because of this. Im not a fan of bringing fleas to my home, (my dog is treated, but that doesnt mean i want them in my home)
People making a huge deal over lifes everyday problems.( LOL, i guess that would be their pet peeves)
