Venaflaxine interactions

I'm on 75Mgs of Venflaxine XR daily and commng up to the festive season and being totally off the booze I'm wondering what I might be able to have a modest dabble in.

Current possible list, mainly due to availiabilty:-

1 - Amphetamines

2 - Mephedrone

3 - Opiates - DHC / O-Des

4 - 4-FA

Yeah I know I shouldnt be doing any of this stuff, but this is Harm Reduction not Harm Removal :)
 
Atm, being an SNRI (serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor) venlafaxine dampens the effects of serotinergic drugs, and mephedrone does have serotinergic properties.. as does 4-FA as far I believe. Standard amphetamines do have some serotinergic activity too although not hugely strong.

Opiates don't have interactions as far as I am aware, apart from those with serotinergic activity (eg tramadol and meperidine/pethidine). I am not 100% sure about ODT, it's certainly not got the full SNRI properties that tramadol does (don't combine venlafaxine and tramadol!) and I don't think it is serotinergic - it is a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor though.

There is always a risk of serotonin syndrome combining two serotinergic drugs too, and as I am sure you are aware this can be very dangerous..

There is an interaction checker here, although it doesn't cover non-prescribed drugs. It does cover opioids and prescription amphetamines however.

So - not a great idea I'm afraid. I understand your frustration though, being on venlafaxine myself! The other big concern for me is the come-down - not fun if you are fighting depression..

I know your right, just had a chance to get a small quantity of summit without making a permanant accessable supply, I'm kidding myself this is a good idea and Mrs atm would have a fekin fit !

Well thats scared the shit outs me 198 major possible reactions with other prescription meds, I'll be giving them all a miss, and your right a comedown could put me back weeks.

I'd rather stay sane ...ish than blow all I've managed to achieve on a few hours of euphoria, was nice to think about it for a hour or 2 though:)
