Heroin veins replaced with arteries?

hi all - i have been very foolishly using my femoral veins for a little under 9 months now. not always in the groin; if i can find a deep vein in the upper thigh, i use it. this has caused DVT's to form, which i use a medication for. but i could always come back to the groin for at least a few times after the spots in the thighs have blown out. for the past 5 days, when i try for the groin, in the exact same place i've used, i get bright red, frothy artery blood. i feel for the pulse, it's right next to where the vein should be, but the blood isn't right. what happened here? where have my veins gone? i am terrible at hitting surface veins. i have a needle obsession, especially when i can hit a vein with a 90 degree shot. other routes of administration aren't an option. quitting right now isn't an option. i know the risks and the negative ink this post may get, but i'm just trying to figure out what happened to my veins? i thank you in advance for any assistance.
 
Your veins have collapsed and been generally destroyed. Think of a straw getting flattened, split, torn, and filled with oatmeal. What is probably happening now is you are pushing right through the busted vein (not registering because blood isn't flowing through it) and are entering into the artery that runs deeper below it.

I'm really not sure how else to help you within the constraints you have mentioned other than guiding you on better hitting surface veins. Having a friend who is skilled in it shoot you up and teach you how is the best option, other than that read through the thread linked below and learn how to do the vacuum flash technique.

wow, that is one huge bummer. thanks for the info. i hope that my stupidity acts as an example for why not to go down this road. thanks allegator.
