Misc veins crunchy?

fuuuck i dont have any insurance or fuckin money

A hospital isn't going to refuse to treat you, whether you have money or not.
I'd get your arms checked out. You aren't going to be crying about not having insurance when the doctor's amputating your arm.

Here's a link to the IV complication's megathread. I suggest reading at least the post that leftwing wrote.

Seriously man, if you have an infection like I suspected, it could VERY easily spread into your blood(if it hasn't allready)....and you DO NOT want that to happen....once your blood gets infected with bacteria, you could die very quickly depending on what sort of bacteria it is....if I were you I wouldnt take the risk and just assume the worst and go get help. Money is not an issue when your life could be at risk. Go to the hospital even if you dont have insurance

And by the way....you need to STOP shooting up now(clean needle or not) and start applying alcohol swabs and anti-bacterial ointment immediately.

i have been shooting for about a month now (60mg-160 a day) starting yesterday i noticed when i spike myself there is like a crunchy sensation in my vien. feels like there is likei duno its hard to explain, maybe cuz the rig has been used like 10 times.gues it feels like the needle is hitting maybe blood clot in my veins hahahah i dunno.. help a brotha out

Um, 60-160mg of what exactly?

I would start butt plugging what ever you have, because if you have an emergency, you are going to be screwed my friend. Just stop shooting god knows what with reusing syringes man. You are doing a terrible punishment to your body, and possibly your pocket!

i cant go tonight im going to go catch the bus in the morning and see what they say...

Just Go to the ER/Urgent care.

On dealing with the bill;

I am 99% sure you can get the visit covered by a state (especially hawaii) or county program for at risk (low income) patients... or.... you can talk to billing (make sure you talk to them) and they will reduce your bill when they find you are a "low income - cash visit" and work out some insane payment plan with you $10-$20 a month with no interest.

When I was allot younger, had no insurance or job, and skated and hurt myself allot, this is how I took care of those visits, and built my credit up too. I regularly had multi-thousand dollar bills reduced to below $400, and spread out over years.

SO JUST GO, think about how much money you will lose over a lifespan with just one hand/arm... so I think that alone wins the cost/benefit analysis.

And FUCK man, be safe!

I'm sorry, but the mental image of a crunchy vein made me laugh.
I'm absolutely certain that is not a picture of good health.
I myself know nothing of injection, but here's to hoping your veins don't take the form of rubber bands that have lost their elasticity. :)

havent went to the ER my arms seem to be getting better. think im in the clear, bought some new rigs and shooting in adifferent vien

Do you have a death wish or just not give a shit if you lose a limb? You are being an idiot bro. Stop shooting the oxy. It only has to go wrong once. Looks like you are already knocking on that door. Don't come here begging for advice because you trashed a vein and then go back to shooting pills into an infected limb. In your OP you thought you hit a blood clot?! Do you know what happens if a blood clot hits an organ? I don't even think I have to type that out

iv is fail for pills..

just snort or plug. i hate iv drug use its dirty no matter how well u clean the site etc etc.

if ur gonna pike urself might as well use an iv drip lol.

You've obviously never shot oxy.

And if IV'ing was "dirty" - then do you really think hospitals would administer thousands of IV injections a day?

OP - some of my most abused veins turned "crunchy" - as a result of years of heroin abuse, and only a few surviving veins. Its just where you are stabbing through hard scar tissue.

For one thing, they have a single IV access site. You're not piercing veins multiple times a day, just injecting into the already open site.

Second, they inject things that are SAFE for injection--solutions that are manufactured with injection in mind. Many people simply do not go to the trouble of micron filtering their solutions, and even doing so does not remove binders/fillers that are soluble. Also, most people don't use/don't have access to sterile injection solutions and equipment. Pills and other injectable drugs are not sterile in and of themselves as well, adding more risk.

In this sense, injecting "not for injection drugs" is dirty.

You mean, soluble particles that are smaller than the pore size of the filter?

If the particle size is larger than the filter pores, then it'll get filtered out, regardless of whether it is water soluble or not.

this is stupid man. are you really shooting pills? pills, especially OC, is meant to be taken or sniffed. i prefer sniffing it because it doesn't last as long, get me sick, etc. if your going to shoot an opiate it should be heroin, stop being dumb if you wanna live.

Sounds definitely like an infection. There can also be germs in the bag that the drugs come in, not to mention what you gear is cut with or made with, what they have cut it on, the spoons your using etc etc

As I have read on.... you are shooting pills, pills that are now made so that they cannot be broken down to be injected, heat causes it to glug, so does cold water, not to mention that if you re use needles, you probably are careless with filtering what is there. Seriously, you are wasting your time.

MAYBE, you gone straight through the vein and missed and injected into the muscle tissue, not realising? When you are keen for that hit I guess pain and the fact that you are making a mess of your arms can become the least of your worries. but injecting a thick gluggy solution can only result in what your have got with your arms red sore and lumpy.

I always treated injecting it as If I'm going to be sitting down at the dinner table across from my family the next day. You want to leave no if any marks possible.

I can say I have experienced what you would call a "crunchy" feeling but is wasn't painful and was scar tissue that had built up in the area. All comes down to ALWAYS using a clean needle, and never re using, Change the vein you are using, If you are talented enough to be able to use the other hand, then even better, it gives your main arm a rest for awhile.

I do agree you need to see a doctor blood infections are bad, and people die from the bacteria in the blood.

The best advice I can give, is give up. I know its harder said then done, but there is more to life then being high. I'm far from religious but once you find your reason to be here, you will understand, until then, be safe and try to find out what can and cant be injected.
