Vegan On Gear?

You're insinuating eating meat if raised in the proper conditions and treated with care is me wanting to do negative things in this world and contributing to destruction? Ok.
I'm insinuating no such thing. Note that i said "factory farming"?
How much of the meat-eating population of the world has the means to do what you do?
How many eat shit from the factory farming industry from the supermarket?

Now, if you'll get off your high-horse for a moment, i'll remind you that i'm not trying to convert you - i'm not even vegan
Enjoy that philosophy you have there.
i do, thanks.

I like it up here. Many do, my argument was only eating meat isn't cruel or unhealthy if you get it from the right place.

Anything specific you would recommend?

EDIT: What are you feelings on sunwarrior protein? It appears pretty cost effect and the amount of protein is pretty high

Also what do you know about needing less protein as a vegan? I heard plant protein absorbs better and you need less of it?

I would buy pure, plain, unflavoured protein mate. I don't know what brands are popular over in the US at the moment really.

As for less protein, that's inaccurate. You need more, to try and bring up the amino deficiencies.

Just came across >>this<< study on vitamin b12 levels in vegans mate. Make sure you're taking some supplementally.

What about phytoestrogens? I figure that the body would work this out for the natty vegan, but would a vegan on gear have to worry about it? I've seen this argued back-and-forth. As well, protein absorption rates across various plant-based sources. I've read things about them being lower than dairy/meat-based sources on average. If true, could this lead to in a sense "wasted calories"?

On-topic: I've converted to about 75% vegan (that 25% being wild-caught fish). I will sometimes go 100% vegan for a couple days. I'm natty, but I will say that I have seen no difference at all in terms of progress. The biggest obstacle I actually see with it is when I plan to go low carb on my next cut. If one does not like tofu, super low-carb vegan would probably be very tough to navigate.
