VB vs Carlton Draught vs Coopers vs Tooheys vs XXXX vs Pure Blonde (lol) vs Hahn vs..

Captain is cool in my book, and it takes more than liquid paper to be in my book and then not be in my book.

^ I think your cool too ;)

Half a 330ml, above 10% black American style ipa, created by an Australian brewery, was enough for my cricket watching today.

175mls took me an hour, probably not the best weather for it, but they're my preferred style at the moment. Or when I do get a chance to taste something good.

Maybe part of my negativity from earlier is because I feel left out, this threads about what beer I like to drink. My answere was, none of the above.....

I can't post the picture for some reason. Here is what a truck load of VB after a crash looks like.

I'll use my elite internet skillz to help -

No offense captain but a lot of the time I read your posts they are aggressive towards other people. No problem with passion you know, but its that kind of attitude from people which stopped me from coming to bluelight so often. Just food for thought.

i respect your honesty, heythatsmybike.

on the contrary i personally have found captain of be of great assistance and approach whenever i have posted queries or threads on the board and not in the slightest bit offensive.

Thanks kynt. That means a lot to me. :)

I've never noticed captains posts to be agro.

Thanks PD!

I think someone was having a bad hair day.....

I think people get offended when I tell my experience of Australian mainstream beers. Things will change, give it time, and it's not something I'm worried about changing quickly, just an observation of the future really.

@angeleyes Could you tell me which ones need to be turned, say, 90deg before pushing down on the tappler? Dem the ones I had troubles with (and sometimes still do). I like the straight slide across once, then push down on the coupler, much easier and quicker. But again, my memory's vague on it all, I never paid too much attention because I honestly think their fat cat, cash wankers.

All their pale ale kegs needed to be turned, thats the one I got in the photo below we'd just keep em upside down then do the 180 flip once we put them on tap, usually the keg would be drained by the time the sediment sinking again :)

And as far as I know you can get them both in 50L. Not full with the stuff, but empty and ready to be cleaned and filled, seconds I guess? sold off to other breweries, some seem fairly old.

Most of the kegs I had the joys with were these bad boy ones the bog standard 50L

then I had these fuckers sometimes Kopparberg loves to come in these

CUB had some god ugly backwater incested hybrid of the two that was SUCH A BITCH TO DEAL WITH IN ANY WAY, our Guinness / Carlton Draught came in it and it didn't roll, stack, bent out of shape hell easy, GAHHHH you know these ones Captain? dogs aren't they grrrr :@

If your beer of choice, on tap at the local, doesn't taste up to scratch, ask the staff how often they clean the beer lines.
