Rather than starting loads of different threads i though i would swallow my pride and ask about some questions i have, the more i read this site the more stuff i come across that just needs a basic answer and i guess i would piss people off making various threads for what could be one line answers!

Why does smoling a normal cigarette seem to bring on heroin?
Would the above be classed as potentiating? whats the simplest definition for a dummy of potentiting?
What potentiates opiods best that i can get over the counter in the uk, I enjoy the nodding sleepy aspect but dont want to take more risks than i have too.
How else can heroin be smoked apart from the foil method, (i know a pipe can be used but i have failed in trying this, can a glass pipe be used? how?
what is a DHC

Potentiating Is just icreasing the effects by ihibitings the body abilities to "get rid of" the drug as fast.

You could use white grape fruit juice, or add some diphenhydramine which will just add to the noddy aspect (don't take too much)

DHC is dihydrocodeine, a slightly stronger version of codeine
 
Diphenhydramine is an anti-histamine found in Benadryl or other generic allergy medications. It's also the same chemical found in over the counter sleeping pills.
 
Promethazine (sold as Sominex in the UK), also an antihistamine, is available over the counter in the UK and is more powerful than diphenhydramine. It will reduce itch, reduce potential nausea, and increase sedation. Try it instead. You'll see more people here recommend DPH because in the States promethazine (Phenergan) is prescription-only. I wouldn't bother with DPH if I didn't have to order promethazine from abroad.
 
so whats the brand name? does any anti-histamne work? i.e clarityn??

im getting a few bags tonight and would love a gouch tonight. Also i havnt slept since last night so have been up for about 20 hours or so will that help or be detrimental. With the low grade stuff we are getting on a whole here i would like to do anything to increase pleasure without puttin myself under any unnesecary risk. Also i only smoke it and would never take the step to IV'ing

You can certainly smoke it in a glass pipe, the large bowled variety commonly referred to as a meth pipe, as heat is indirect and vaporises the gear. I have not tried this, but I would expect it to be more wasteful than chasing off foil and less efficient at vaporising the gear. Believe you need to chase it round the glass bowl a little so it runs, rather than burning it all up in the one spot, same as you wouldn't burn it up in the same spot on foil. Don't bother trying to smoke it like crack on a bed of ash as it will just ignite. It can be smoked with tobacco or in a joint. Again, more wasteful I believe than chasing as some will burn rather than vaporise, and burn off while you're not inhaling so obviously you won't get the benefit. Foil is the best option IMO, and would be my preference.
