vaporizers for both cannabis and tobacco?

Hey,

I'm thinking about getting a vaporizer and was wondering, if I used one vape for both pot and tobacco, would the flavor of one affect the taste of the other? I don't like the idea of spending gobs of money on safer alternatives to smoking (though I will if I have to), so I thought I might use one vape for two habits. Do any of you do this?

What kind of affordable vaporizer could I use for both? I don't smoke a ton of pot (i.e. many hits at a time), so the kind that fills a giant bag is out of the question. Should I be looking for a thermal conduction, thermal radiation, or convection type?

Also, if you have a specific vape in mind, could you give me a PM? Thanks!

but

i have one and i loaded up some decent quality pipe tobacco on a few occasions just to try it

and for the life of me i havent been able to vaporize tobacco.

i basically do the same thing i do for pot but for whatever reason i fail to pull any actual noticable vapors out of the backy

and i dont get an tobacco effects

so i am pretty sure vaoing tobacco doesnt work as easy as the way the people who manufacture vapes make it seem

but then again it could just be me, but by all accounts i AM a competent smoker/vaper

i have a hotbox by the way if that makes any difference, im not a volcano owner or anything

PS Sierra Nevada Mtns, huh? i dont think we have too many BL'ers from Mexico.

kool. kool. i have always wanted to go to Mexico.....(i mean actually go to mexico, i have made quick visits to Boarder towns. i wanna see the pyramids or go to the beaches or some shit)

PSS So what is it like for citizens of Mexico now that drugs are legal. are there any noticable sorts of changes? you taken advantage?

Well, crap. I'm looking to reduce my intake of carcinogens. Maybe I can find pure nicotine somewhere :\ Thanks for the reply anyway.

BTW, the Sierra Nevada Mtns. are located primarily in California. I've never been to Mexico, not even to embark on some Castenedian adventure ;)

edit: FTR, it would appear that pure nicotine is deadly, even if touched accidentally. I might just have to quit altogether...

anyways man that is just my experience with vaping tobacco

i have sorta wondered what others have to say cuz......

i mean vapes are SUPPOSSED to work on tobacco

so i dunno maybe wait for a few more replies before you make a final decision
 
I've never had any luck vaporizing tobacco either - plus I don't really like the taste. Nicotine has a very high boiling point of 477 degrees (247 C) according to Wikipedia which is probably why the average vaporizer is ineffective.

FWIW, I like my Vapolution vaporizer - cheap, portable and very effective.

Vapes arew sweet ut honestly its nothing differet than I've niticed from a hardcore night of taking bong rips from a normal bong. The vape will get you higher maybe, and a cleaner high at tht, but but realistuically, I see no larehe advantage. You will end up high no mattewer where you smoke it it. Just try and getting high the old fashioned way. I oroimise its pretty cool.

And there is a big difference in my lungs compared to a night pulling bongs I can assure you.
 
Thanks for all the replies. I get high enough smoking pot the regular way :) Even though I smoke every day, my tolerance is near zer0.

I'll try looking around for a vape specifically designed to work with tobacco, though I'm unsure if any will work (considering the high boiling point of nicotine) without pyrolyzing the tars/plant matter/etc.
