vaporizer for tobacco as well as marijuanas

hello. my mom smokes a lot of cigarettes :P and i smoke a LOT of weed. and lately my sour has been fucking my lungs up and i fear for my moms well being as well. ive been convincing her to throw a hundred in with me on a volcano vaporizer for the both of us but i am concerned that the tobaccy resins will stink up the whip and other parts to the point where it ruins the vape. so i guess my question is will it be that bad or can we both smoke out of the same device with out her getting high off my weed resin / me getting gross tobacco vape hits? will the tobacco ruin the element or anything or will we both be very happy with the device? has any one else been in this prediciment or is this extremely specific
 
also are the whips/ bags relatively easy to clean? maybe i could give her her own whip or bag? thx
 
I have a volcano digit and I am super satisfied. I only use it for weed, and sometimes stuff like salvia, thyme, mint, basel, ..
Bags are very cheap to re-order, and you can even re-use every part except the bag to make your own. You can use oven-grade plastic to make the bag.

You definetly want her to have her own. I use one bag for weed and the other for the other herbs. It leases a scent and taste on the inside of balloon, not much but enough to use different bags.

I think Volcano even has an action, or had anyway, where you could buy a volcano, pay for it, and when you're not satisfied you can send it back, money back guaranteed.

I even think they have the vape temp for tobacco on their website, so I don't think using this would be a problem.
 
Agreed, it's OK to use the same crucible but once you get tobacco in a bag it tastes like ass forever.
 
Okay I'm curious, how does vaping tabbacy work? Like, what chemicals are vaped off? Doesn't nicotine burn off at lower then 300 degrees?
 
Nicotine in the leaf hitches a ride on the water in the leaf as it's turned to vapour.
 
what im asking is there a port BEFORE the bag/whip and AFTER the heating element / herbs that will collect resins from the weed tobacco thyme mint whatever that is going to be heated every time? my mom doesnt smoke weed and i dont smoke cigs (or vaping in this case). if this part exists is it easy to clean so my mom doesnt get high and freak the fuck out? i guess i can live with the nicotine buzz but vice versa not so much thx

or would seperate bags / whips be sufficient

Ah duh, my brain seems to be off today to the obvious.

I wasn't sure if other chemicals would 'catch a ride' as well, though - and if so, what would they be? And at what temperature would some of those be destroyed? It just seems an odd notion to me, but as a cig smoker, a healthier alternative...

Regardless, I don't see why someone concerned so much with health and nicotine doesn't simply pony up and buy a nice E-Cig. I own many Yeti-510s and they are beyond fantastic. I was just wondering if vaping actual tabaccy had any added benefit beyond an e-cig (essentially a vape - but with nicotine carts instead of tabacco)

As far as this goes, unless your shit is coated, it should be pretty fine. The easiest way deal with it though is to get a seperate bag, or to clean yours after use. I don't think the chemicals from the vapor would bind to anything in the bag once emptied. I have no science to back it up but it seems common sense from knowing how cannabinoids and thc works. For the joints, go ahead and look. You can clean those peices pretty easily. There shouldn't be anything on the heating element if you are using a screen. Inside the whip (depending on model) there is a chance there could be resin from pull through. I'd clean it thoroughly.

I suggest she get an E-Cig, but not one of those horrible mall ones.
 
ok i watched a video and it seems there is a plug in screen with a chamber above the element and fan that's removable so hopefully i can purchase an extra one of those with it. then i wont have to worry about cleaning it after every use. now to find a good deal on one
 
Check out fuckcombustion.com I know there are people there who vape tobacco. I don't vape tobacco at all but there are various types of vapes you can get for it. There are also e-cigs.
 
im pretty solid on getting the volcano. a couple friends have one and they absolutely kill. il just get a tobbaccy bowl/whip and a weed bowl/bag for it :)

those chinky ecigs just look too hokey. do they really work that well? i imagine a volcano doing the job 400$ better
 
You could do with one bowl, but 2 is better of course !

definetly clean all the seperate parts of the volcano *and* the balloons once every two months or so (depends a little on your use :p)!
 
I remember there was a BLer a few years ago, this french guy, that was trying to find out whether it would be possible to take nicotine in alternative ways. He ended up asking about injecting the stuff. I don't know whether he tried it and how he got on but he stopped posting after a while so who knows.

IMO as said above, you may as well just use an e-cig. Vaporized tobacco still probably contains a lot of nasty chemical additives and probably tastes disgusting, so it's just a waste of time.
 
I can vouch for the taste not being that great for vapourized tobacco but the one advantage it would have over electronic cigarettes is that it would still contain the other tobacco alkaloids so you get the full tobacco hit instead of just nicotine. I dont know if you would get the nitrosamines and other carcinogens as well though... probably

I would be suprised if your mum enjoys it as much as smoking.

Have you ever tried the Arizer vapes? I'm pretty sure they have the same features as Volcano but with a lower price tag.
 
you guys are right cigs are fucking gross anyways and i wouldnt want that shit anywhere near my volcano. il check out the airizer. ive heard good things from the ssv as well. i just want to take fat milky vape hits and go to space %)
 
Well seeing as how the cannabis portion of this has been answered, this thread has run its course.

Yes, E-Cigs (the good ones, screwdriver model or Yetis) are amazing. We don't source them. Any large vape is a waste for just tabaccy.
