I've been taking this for pain from an accident that left me partially paralyzed from the waist down. I got run over by a truck, and this was the only medication I could find any relief with besides IV dilaudid. I'm in serious pain right now and I also take morphine sulfate 30mg for breakthrough pain but they really are completely ineffective. I normally break open one of these patches and vape the gel they're only 25mcg hr patches. I got 20 of them this month because insurance put me on adult medically needy and folks at the rehab center where I went for physical therapy felt sorry for me and hooked me up.

I'm going to see a show tonight at the Fox and was going to be vaping a patch for the buzz before hand, if I vape one up right now will I even feel the effects of the one later on or will it just add on to dangerous levels of Fentanyl in my system? I've already been on the 50mcg an hr patches and ingested a whole one before I knew what the fuck they were back in the beginning being pissed off about being taken off the IV dilaudid and can remember nodding out all over the hospital and being woken up and asked "what room number are you in" my reply" oh I'm fine 'wheel around the corner and nod out again to be woken up five minutes later and asked the same question'" :)

Any help would be appreciated I am seriously hurting like shit right now...ER isn't an option =[

Hey zetalove,

Fentynal is a very short acting opioid so it won't stay in your system long after smoking it. I'm hesitant to give any specific times but after a couple hours you would be back to normal and able to redose.

edit:
Note that this doesn't apply if you use it in a gradual release delivery system.

Hey bud, just wondering, you say er is not an option, but what about a/your doctor. I don't know much about these drugs, all I know is from over the Internet... But fentanyl is usually not the best stories, ESP taking it not as prescribed. I've heard about this diluadid you talk about, and it comes as pills. Do they also prescribe iv type? You should ask a doctor and all since you need it, and get pills and iv for that since u said it works for you. I'm not sure but a doctor knows so go to one!

And it's funny you say er is not an option, cause in a emergency, it is the only option.

Here is a link to The Fentanyl Megathread which fully answers your dosing question and has a lot more info as well. Since I think that covers everything I'm going to close this thread but feel free to PM me if you think there is something else to add etc.

Good luck with the pain management.
