Hello. Looking for people who have been inpatient at Valley Vista in VT. One question: do they allow internet access/cell phone access? Thanks!! I'm looking into eventually going there and want to know if those things are an option for me there.
I don't remember seeing it in the list of rehabs at the top of the stickies. The only place I've been inpatient in Vermont was the Brattleboro Retreat. If I had to grade it I'd give it a C+. It didn't totally suck ass but it wasn't great, either. If you're in New England, I would HIGHLY recommend High Watch Farm in western CT. I wanted to go there but they don't work with insurance and my family refused to help me. I could have tried to get reimbursed by Blue Cross but I knew the possibility of that happening was as slim as me having sex with Claudia Schiffer. I was living in West Brattleboro at the time, so The Retreat it was
Oh and I don't know of a SINGLE rehab that will let you have a cellphone, good luck with that. I did go to one rehab that allowed limited internet access. Even if you did find one that allowed you some computer time if you think you're going to go in there and browse Facebook or bluelight, dream on. No residential rehab is going to allow you to do anything that takes your focus off your therapy. So if those things are important to you, I'd find a good PHP (partial hospitalization program) or IOP (intensive outpatient program) where you're not there 24/7. But again, if you're a hardcore addict, good luck with outpatient. I knew I needed to be locked up in residential programs.
I am going to close this as we don't really allow questions about specific rehabs. We do allow rehab reviews in the thread stickied thread at the top of the page. If you have any questions OP PM me.
