If I took around 80mg over four or five days for a first time user what would the effects be? Would I feel any cravings for more that fast?

Since it;s your first time with Valium i would start out at 20 mg then work your way up. The effects would be sedation, euphoria, diminished anxiety and possibly amnesia at those doses

What are you doing? Cravings can easily happen from use like that, the day after the last day of use you'll be anxious and unable to sleep; it makes it all the harder that you know a couple pills will make the bad feels go away. Don't plan to go on a binge like that's how addiction happens, you habituate you're use. You'll just waste it by raising you tolerance. You need to treat benzos with respect, withdrawal can be fatal.

Do you have a special reason you want to go on this binge? If it's just everyday life, and not a special situation, that makes it more addicting. It's possible to pull it off but, it's a slippery ass slope.

Are u a fucking idiot ?

20mg for a 1st time young female user? I've been using benzo's for years and my 1st dose of 5mg was effective

Sorry but this is bad advice, Lauren you should just stay away from Valium altogether unless using it for comedowns and at that 10-20mg max

Idiots on here will ruin your life !

Regardless of what benzoman says for first time user 20 mg is fine, maybe 15mg. Dosing the next day won't give you much benefit, best to wait a week and take the same dose rather than go on a bender. Taking 80 mg your first time will give you amnesia and a not so great time.

As for cravings only you will know what you will desire after your first use. We cannot answer that for you. Do you think that you would have cravings? Do you have an addictive personality? If so I would say tread lightly, I would tread lightly anyways. Using benzos frequently will almost certainly lead to habituation and difficulty. Be careful! Have fun, and don't go overboard with you first dose.

I used to be able to get off from 10 mg's of valium at a night. Sometimes even 5 mg's did the trick. That was only a few months after having a massive klonopin/xanax habbit.

IMO valium is under rated and one of my favorite benzodiazapines. It works good. But it doesn't quite have knock out power of xanax. That's why I like it, it feels more subtle. It also gave me euphoria and made me feel good. But most benzos do that to me anyways, but this seemed like it was euphoric in it's own different way.

I like the fact that it has 3 active metabolites. Also the long half life can be a good thing. If you ever get addicted to them a long slow taper is the best way to quit benzodizapines. Sure it takes a long time to recover in the months after comming off benzos. But gradually things get better. The withdrawal after a taper consist more of anxiety and learning how to do things again. The withdrawal without tapering from stronger benzos like xanax or klonopin is rough.

I was put straight on Librium then from there valium. The transition onto librium from enormous amounts of klonopin and xanax was terrible. Benzo withdrawals are some of the worst withdrawals someone can go through besides, alcohol, ghb, and barbituates.

PS whats up Euphoric Nod! I used to post here back in 2005 under a different username. I remember you!
