valium or xanex?

ive done xanex a bunch, but never valium. my friend just got a hold of some, but it's quite a bit more expensive.. better than xanex, or not? how do they differ?

1 mg of xanex = _ mg of valium

yeah they're on the pricey side though, which is why i was asking ( i can get xanex cheaper .. sometimes k-pins which are my favorite). my friend called me and said he thought they were a ton better, but its probably just because he gets perscribed xanex.
 
10mg of valium = 1mg of xanax (not xanex lol, but thats a common mistake). i dunno if someone gave me a blank pill and it was either 20mg of valium or 2mg of xanax i wouldnt be able to tell the difference from the effect (i can notice little differences when i know which i took tho) also valium typically lasts longer and has a MUCH longer half life. also valium tends to be a bit more intense compared to xanax at equivalent doses. i mean if u can get 20mg of valium cheaper than 2mg of xanax, go for it, if not, fuck it. and btw, clonazepam (klonopin) is, in my opinion, the most fun benzo. and most people will prolly disagree with this, but temazepam (restoril) is rele good at higher doses. and while we're talking about benzos, i fucking hate lorazepam, people say its the same as diazepam/alprazolam/clonazepam, but it feels MUCH different to me, more like ambien, not as relaxing and ive actually hallucinated from it..
 
To get high Xanax all the way as they are much faster acting although shorter lived.

i used to think it was 1mg=20mg bcuz thats what the charts said but recently almost everywhere i look its 5mg valium= .5mg xanax

just a few examples. that other chart doesnt make much sense to me. .5mg of xanax = 20mg of temazepam? yeah right. ive got a decent amount of experience with benzos and that is NOT true..
 
I just never heard of there being an equal portion so I wanted some feedback on it because to me alprazolam and Diazepam are quite different for me it seems like.
But I dont know much about benzos outside of what they do to me lol ;p
But Id choose valium ;p
 
k-pins for sure. takes an hour to kick in but can make you pretty tranquil (euphoria? lil bit... but tranquility can be just as good as "smacky"

valiums half life is a LIE :) its a good 2-3 hour high then its metabolites kick in.... and they suck. taking it over time will build up the shity metabolites and chill u out... sucks tho. Pretty euphoric for the first few hours tho at higher doses.

xanax is good/great but even shorter lived and tolerance to its a bitch. Taking large doses of Xanax XR is fun as fuck.
temazepam chills u out but it really zones me out at high doses so much im too fuckin zoned and zombied to be euphoric. ive found temazepam to actually mix really poorly with most other drugs, unlike other benzos.
lorazepam is wierd... just wierd. not bad.
ambien is a trip the first time at high dose... but worse than xanax in tolerance. euphoria at high doses if you can maintain coherence enough to experience it/remember it.

anyways... keep in mind high dosing benzo's = tolerance = good luck enjoying them in the future. and im not only talking short term tolerance

o ya.... halcion. shit knocks you the fuck out. more of a smacky euphoria where xanax is more smooth. that is... if you can manage to stay awake (and not start knocking over shit and ruining relationships :) )

i would chose xanax. I don't like long halflifes. And it hits you like a shitton of bricks
 
I've done a lot of benzos, of course not ALL benzos, but i've done the majority of the more popularly prescribed benzos...trust me i've done enough.

Between Xanax and Valium, in my opinion you MUST go for the Valium. At least try a couple, but if they are quite a bit/significantly more costly than the Xanax than only buy a couple once in a while to have some real nice fun with them. Calculate your costs and see if Valium is worth buying regularly so to speak compared to Xanax (it depends what dose Xanax you get to). In my experience 0.5mg xanax is exactly 5mg valium, 1mg xanax is exactly 10mg valium and so on...but valium is MUCH better.


However, my absolute favourite benzodiazepam is Temazepam...unfortunatley i've only tried it once, man do i wish I could get some/find some. My second favourite is Diazepam. It was the first benzo made, and it IS a GREAT benzo; good for anxiety, panick/anxiety attacks since it kicks in in 25-30min, muscle spasms/relaxation, and it is also (esp in higher doses) a hypnotic that promotes sleep.

Btw, right now i'm currently prescribed 1mg clonazepam 3 times a day, so 3mg a day for general anxiety and panick/anxiety attacks. I've been on it for about 2-2 1/2 years now and it works great for what it's given for. At first i could get high on it, but it is MUCH more difficult to get 'high' on clonazepam than on other shorter acting benzos like valium, xanax, etx. Clonazepam takes 2hrs to kick in so it's kind of pointless as a rec drug. However it works PERFECT for what it is supposed to and I've been taking it as prescribed for over 1 year- 1 year and a half or so, b/c as many other patients on it realize that it's hard to get an actualy buzz on it compared to xanax or diazepam, on which i always get a buzz.

I've had clonazepam, diazepam, alprazolam, oxazepam, lorazepam and temazepam. The only ones I have little experience with are oxazepam and temazepam, temazepam once, and oxazepam two times, the others plenty of experience..esp with clonazepam since i'm scripted it and i can say without a doubt that diazepam is better than xanax OVERALL..for sleep, anxiety, panick attacks, muscle spasms, while xanax isn't really for sleep and it doesn't have the anti spasm propreties that diazepam and clonazepam (esp clonazepam) have. Though diazepam is much more comfy and euphoric...though it's a matter of 'personal taste', based on the mental chemistry of each individual and which benzo best suits them. For example my first time on xanax 0.5mg (1 pill) i didn't like it, while i loved temazepam...but over time i got to know alprazolam...and it got to know me.
 
BTW....There are MANY results/posts on this subject if you were to do a search. I understand you want to know more exactly...but I wouldn't and you also shouldn't have been/be surprised if this thread gets closed down. There is plenty information on your question...just do a simple search, easier than typing a whole post..no?
 
Id take valium over xanax anyday even though it takes alot of valium for me to get a good buzz.

I don't know why but i never liked the way xanax made me feel. It always made me feel strange and didnt chill me out at all.
