I had 2mg of suboxone this morning which barely which practically feel like it does nothing. I rarely take valium. I took 100mg god damn mg. & I barely noticed that I've taken anything. I mean I think even a pint of beer would be stronger. way less strong than a 6 pack. I get drunk so easy that's why I can do it. I used to get plastid drunk.
when I went to the dr because I was ready for a nervous break down he gave me 10 valiums and told me to take 1 a day. are you serious? it would have no effect.
is there something wrong with me. I haven't had valium in months. Yet I had temazepam once a while ago. 20 of them was really strong. and I don't even remember some of the night. which is suppose to be about the same. but I suppose temazepam is only a hypnotic which is what u don't want when it comes to amnesia. its more for sleeping than anxiety. the z drugs are the worst. I thin they are straight out dangerous. the only drug u can take and totally not remember anything u did.
I guess valium is much weaker and lasts longer but has a smooth crash that is weaker but lasts longer.
I cant understand how drs expect you to feel anything from 5mg. ive actually been given 2mg tablets before. they should come in 20mg tablets atleast. they make 2mg clonazepam pills which is the same as 4-8 valiums so I cant understand why they don't have 20mg and 40mg tablets. I mean that's the real dose you need. right?

People have different sized bodies, different metabolisms, different reactions to drugs and dosages. I'd guess that you're either very large or you've put a lot of effort into getting intoxicated recently. I'd also venture a guess that you're not getting these pills on Rx.

If I take 10mg of valium, I'm asleep. If I take 1mg of klonopin, I don't feel anything. All that said, please be more cautious with drugs. Also, 2mg of suboxone shouldn't get you "high." It's a maintenance dose, not recreational. If you wanna get high, don't do Suboxone. I take it daily, 2mg basically, and I don't "feel" anything other than not feeling dopesick.

well, diazepam is not a very potent benzo

guessing how fucked up you are on benzodiazepines is always a losing game though. you're never fucked up enough until BAM it's monday again
unfortunately, others can tell how fucked up you are very early

"Valium is worthless unless you take the whole bottle."

-The mentality that leads to blackouts and terrible choices. I too find the effects of diazepam to be quite subtle. I'm not in the camp of people who get relief from comparatively small doses. Diazepam is clonazepam is alprazolam in equal doses. OP, you need to treat all benzodiazepines with respect and understand that once you're under the influence and in the amnesia danger zone, you have the potential to make uninhibited, possibly life-altering/threatening decisions.

Some people have differing reactions to certain opiates/oids - which are my bread and butter - but I have yet to meet a man or woman in my travels who is accutely resistant to benzodiazepine intoxication. As others have touched on, the people who claim benzodiazepines don't affect them properly are the ones who end up in trying situations, blissfully unaware of how insane/innebriated they are.

Everyone does have a different reaction to benzos.. what works for one person and knocks em put cold can do shit for the other. I have been on benzos for a few years now for PTSD and anxiety and I think taking a Valium is like eating candy. Temazepam is mostly for sleep and should not be taken long term. Keif is totally on the mark, benzodiazepines need to be treated with the utmost respect. They can be very dangerous when mixed. Especially with alcohol. And Valium is equal to other benzos when the dose is altered. And you can take too much and not realize till its too late.

Thay being said, again they affect everyone differently. Valium did not help me but Lorazepam (Ativan) does. To me Xanax is stronger but doesn't last very long, kolonopin is not as strong but stays in yoir system longer. Ativan is the middle ground. I just got moved up from 3mg a day to 4mg a day as my tolerance has built up and I am in a rough patch. That is MY dose though, it could kill someone that is naive to them and is mixing with other substances. Please do not keep taking more and more because you don't feel high, before you know it you will black out. You are fine one minute and put the next. (I know from experience and am lucky)

In my opinion and experience the "high" you are seeking won't come from a benzo. A benzo high is feeling like nothing matters..TOTALLY different from opiates. If you took 20 temazepam and lived to tell you are lucky.

If you need benzodiazepines for anxiety and are prescribed Valium but it's not working talk to your doctor/psychiatrist and tell them you are still having the anxiety. By your post it sounds like you have has a panic attack and saw a regular doctor? Psychiatrists know much more than GP or an Internist. I would try to go see one if you are not. And if it was a psychiatrist that gave you 10 at that dose and you are having panoc attacks go see another one.

Trust me I know how real and scary it feels and you just want it to go away. But you do have to be careful with these. And the best advice I can give you is stay at the lowest dose that works. I am NOT looking forward to day I have to pay the piper and get off these but right now they are a necessary evil.
