Valium and Oxy

does mixing benzos with oxy ruin the euphoria or accelerate it and what are the general pros and cons for mixing the two. Any info would be appreciated i have 40mg of valium and an oxy 80....whats a good dose combo...i do oxy daily and do about 50mg a day
 
Benzodiazepines increase the effects of opiates, as long as the dose isn't too high so that it doesn't overpower the opiate experience. I don't have any personal experience with Diazepam and Oxycodone but 40mg would be much too high, try a dose like 10mg. My favorite benzo+opiate combination is with Clonazepam. Usually I'd take just take 1 mg or 2mg at the most, depending on how much opiate I planned on taking and it would enhance the effects greatly.
 
What is your tolerance like?

It's not good mixing the two unless you are well versed in both drugs separately. Combining the two greatly increases the CNS effects, and could be, and has before, been a deadly combo. A oxy dose like that, mixed with a benzo, on someone with little or no tolerance could be in for a o/d.

With the warning being said, I enjoy mixing xanax with oxy. It increases the effects of the oxy greatly. I wouldn't say my euphoria is increased, but I'm much more likely to nod out on the combo, then the oxy alone. Also, I don't need to take much xanax (.5mg - 1.5mg) on top of my oxy dose, which would be around 150mg throughout the day.
 
the only opiate & benzodiazepine combination i have ever tried was oxycodone & alprazolam (xanax). benzodiazepines do increase/potentiate the effects of opiates, but they often overpower the opiate high. i recommend finding your sweet spot with benzodiazepines alone and then take about ~1/2 of that dose with your opiates. i'm a total light-weight when it comes to benzodiazepines, (i usually just use them for sleep as they basically just knock me out) so i only take around 1/2 of a .25mg pill (lololz).

keep in mind though that adding the effects of benzodiazepines to an opiate high is probably going to make it a bit more sedating & more than likely increase the nod. i like oxycodone as opposed to some other opiates due it's stimulating effects, so i only very rarely add benzodiazepines into the mix, and as i stated before- i use xanax. i'm sure that valium would have a similar bearing on the opiate experience, however this is only an assumption.

just be safe about it. i would suggest taking your daily opiate dose first and once that has kicked in, slowly dose with the valium. remember- you can always take more until you achieve the desired effects, but you can never take less. not to mention if you are naive to benzodiazepines/without tolerance, the combination could prove to be horribly opposite of what you had hoped for. so just don't go overboard.

done my (first ever) 10mg oxcontin (CRUSHED and dabbed) about 3 hours ago,feel ok,but am now tempted to do some benzos instead of uppin the oxy doseage.

i have a high benzo tolerance so should i stick to taking my usual initial benzo starting dose (10x10mg vallies or just go for the 5 x 10 mg valium??

or even go for the xanax instead?

and will a glass of wine be ok?
 
^ A benzo would be better to add, if you do more oxy, you won't get higher per say, it will just extend the length of the high at the level your at now. Start with half your regular benzo dose, and wait. If it's not where you want to be, up your dose a bit more. But take it slow, benzos potentate oxy quite nicely.

I wouldn't drink any alcohol if you're planning on adding a benzo. Opiates + Benzos + Alcohol = Very bad.
 
There is no way I could recommend a good dose for either of these without knowing ANYTHING about your tolerance and/or experience with either of these substances. That said:

Take the amount of one or the other you are comfortable with taking, then take the other in a smaller dose (usually a smaller amount of the benzo - so valium). I'd suggest NOT doing this, and just saving the valium for bed; but that's just my preference.

(and no alcohol)

*edit* Now I see your response with tolerance/dosing info. For future: Make sure to write that stuff in your first post (question). That being said, adjust my comment to fit your tolerance. ;)

I am not trying to start shit with you but you are talking about shooting oxy in other posts... yet harping on people about "oxy can stop your heart" You posted this in a post I made and now this one.. Sure it is in the spirit of harm reduction but it is stating the obvious.. It's not like he is talking about taking some huge dose.. Mixing benzos and opaites is "dangerous".... but if you're reasonable in dosing and don't plan on sleeping then you should be fine.

Basically if you're shooting Oxy.. then be careful for a variety of reasons one of them being it is a CNS depressant and you could stop your heart.. So think on that next time you're banging oxy.

Anyhow OP... Always underdose.. you can always take more but you can't take less... I find benzos taint the opaite buzz. Good luck..

I am the same way. Actually over careful.. I am scripted roxi and benzos.. I am way fucking careful about that shit. I wont even sleep with a buzz.. I will sit up 8 hours and make sure I am sober until I will fall asleep.. that's just me. I urge people to not mix opiate and benzos unless they have a tolerance and know both medications alone before they decide to mix them... I have chronic pain and panic disorder with agoraphobia.. so I kinda have to mix them though I'd rather not... it is what it is.. But the "oxy can stop your heart" posts is kind of a buzz kill, I guess I am saying there's a nice way to say it.. like "they're both CNS depressants be careful".. people are gonna do what they're gonna do.. Bleh I am probably just being anal. Sorry.
