Valium/and cross tolerance

I find valium the most euphoric benzo when one has no benzo tolerance, however now that i have a tolerance i have to take up to 100mg and it just makes me nauseous and nasty hiccups, i remember 10mg used to get me sky high..my question is, if i take klonopin, then later on valium will they cancel eachother out?
 
They won't cancel each other out at all, you'll feel both of them so maybe lower your valium dose a bit depending on how much klonopin you're already on.
 
Im guessing benzos are much like opiates and in that case a benzo tolerance is a benzo tolerance. You may feel some difference between the two benzos, but it will still be tough to get the feeling you want because if you have a tolerance to one benzo you will have a tolerance to a different benzo.
 
Yea ^ Cross-tolerance will be there. It'll be there no matter what Benzo you take.
Yes - there are subtle differences between them but a tolerance to one will give you an auto-tolerance to all others.

And just a suggestion - try cut / taper down. You won't regret being able to get high from a lower dose will you? ;)

She won't be able to get high from a lower dose if she has been using everyday for a good amount of time. It will take a long time of abstinence before she can ever get a buzz off benzodiazepines if that is the case. The tapering process of benzos is just to avoid withdrawals. Once she is off it she will need to wait a long time (more than a few months) before being able to use to get high. This is assuming she has become physically dependent which it sounds so if 100mg of Diazepam doesn't get her high anymore when 10mg used to.

To answer the OP's original question, no they won't cancel each other out. Klonopin and Valium are cross-tolerant. The two have slightly different effects.
