ok, fair enough. perhaps i'm just such a nice guy that i've never been in a situation where the girl makes all the effort. or perhaps even more likely, i never get the chance to *be* in a r/ship, so i just have to presume things based on how *i* would act.
anyway, what you say is fair, but i still think that the *majority* of the day is centered on making the female in the relationship feel special (even if this is just how it's portrayed in the media, i *still* think there's more females having a fun day than males).
i'm not sure, maybe i'm just rambling. maybe what i'm really seeing is just the fact that females seem to enjoy the romantic aspect of the day more than the guys, so regardless of who does the work, i still see it as a 'day for the girls'? maybe?
