bugger the people who don't belive in or understand the reasons for this play.. they just don't see the BIG picture... woman everyday somewhere face violence and its not going to stop just because people think the world has progressed from the stone age.... alot of countries haven't!

This play reminded me of the "Penis Game" that I played in MIDDLE SCHOOL in a way, somehow by shouting Vagina over and over again it liberates or reclaims the word vagina? And what about the 13 year old (later changed to 16) being RAPED by the 24(?) year old WOMAN and it somehow being "okay"....

Xcentrix - thanks babe! but you know i always hate calling myself a "feminist" because it conjurs up images of angry hairy lesbians (and if you are one thats perfectly ok with me! hehe) but sunflower from another thread made me realise thats it's ok to be one (as labelled as it is) because a feminist is just a woman who is proud of being female and stands up for female rights. So thanks sunflower , i am now a proud FEMINST ;)

i thought the pre-formance is when you have all the males in the audience saying "huh huh, shes gonna say vagina" "heh heh, yeah, shes gonna 'OWN' her cunt, heh heh".

then the performance starts
 
lala the one i'm in is in maitland (20 minutes from newcastle) There will be a sydney show though at the opera house. Come to mine though instead =D

so where, exactly, is Maitland Town Hall?

Like, is it Maitland station one would get off at, or East Maitland? And then where would one go from the station? Is it walkable?

^^are you driving or catching the train? I can get my sister to pick me you up from maitland train station?

If you don't know maitland it's hard to explain :\ It's on 'high st' which is the main street and it's opposite the reprtory theatre.

I'm logging out of BL and won't have a chance to come back till after the show so if you (or anyone else for that matter) needs info from me at all please email/call me.
