I don't have any issues with it. Although maybe a little. I was raised polish catholic and growing up wasn't allowed to be open with my sexuality and everything that came with it. I called my vagina by another name hense making me feel there was something wrong with it. Why didn't i have to call any of my other body parts something else?
It's not all serious and nazi fem. It's funny and light hearted and looks at lots of different issues and perspectives and it's not about being vulgar. Undrstand a little better maybe?
As i said... anyone who has any negative thoughts about this preformance really should go see it as i think you will benefit for what it's supposed to be doing and THEN tell me you think the same things as before you saw it.

I've heard the piece that DQ will be doing and it's really funny as.

A small group of Maitland women is lining up to replace their world-famous counterparts in the local production of the controversial hit play The Vagina Monologues.
Twelve women will take centre stage this Friday night in the play as part of a global campaign to stop violence against women and girls.
This week's play also coincides with the 25th anniversary of Carrie's Place, the women's and children's crisis refuge of Maitland.
Hailed by critics as funny and poignant, the play, written by Eve Ensler, dives into the mystery, humour, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women's experiences.
The piece has attracted the likes of Jane Fonda, Glenn Close and Calista Flockhart to participate in previous performances.
Director and producer of the Maitland Vagina Monologues Jeni McNeil said she hopes the performance will change lives and help stop cruelty and violence against women.
"Directing The Vagina Monologues has given me an opportunity to work closely with issues that are often swept under the rug in society," Jeni, 22, said.
"Although, at times it was very confronting, directing the play has also enlightened me and expanded my view on humanity."
Cast member Lisa Dundas, 33, decided to perform in the play because she wanted to connect and socialise with other women.
"As a mother of two young children and a part-time TAFE teacher, I needed a womanly outing and you can't get more outed than this," Lisa said.
Fellow cast member Karen Tanner, 53, said her involvement in the play has been a privilege.
"I became involved in the play because as a woman, daughter, sister and a mother of four daughters I felt it was not only an obligation, but also a privilege to help bring about awareness of violence against women," Karen said.
"It also seemed like a fun thing to do for my vagina."
Tickets for the benefit performance are $20 and are on sale now.

The performance contains some explicit language and adult themes.

anyway AS I SAID it's a national worldwide campaingn to stop violence against women and girls. It's being done by the organisers of "Carries Place" which is a womens refuge and most of the money is going there. Last year a big proportion went to the women of iraq because of the war and this year there will be another big proportion going overseas to women also in need but am not certain exactly where but i can find out for you if you like? seeing as your very interested and all..... sorry if i'm being rude but i just don't see why you are putting this down as there is ONLY good things that come out of it.
