Opioids Using Suboxone to lower opiate tolerance

I was curious about using suboxone in order to reduce my opiate tolerance which over time has gotten up to 80mg of oxymorphone or like 300mg of oxycodone (both being taken intranasally) however i am still not physically dependent to opiates most likely due to the facts i use opiates very often but not ALL the time plus just genetics i guess. The most withdrawal ive experienced has been very light to the point its nothing to complain about so there has never been a reason for me to get on subs. However i see with other more dependent friends who r often switching between subs and full antagonist after switching from subs to full antagonist their opiate tolerance has reduced a shit ton. However if Im off opiates all together for almost a month my tolerance barely lowers. So is there a way i could use suboxone to lower my tolerance without causing myself to be dependent on suboxone.

Cross tolerance exists between them to a degree, unless you use less bupe and taper off of it, your tolerance won't drop. Still, it would drop much faster if you didn't use anything at all.

Also, I think you're somehow equating tolerance to dependence. Although there's correlation between the two, you could have tolerance without being dependent.

um you can take 300mg of oxy but arent addicted? something is wrong in this picture bro...

If your not taking opiates anyways... taking sub will probably just raise your tolerance or keep it... Best to just abstain if you arent even addicted
