I have read and searched for as much information as possible regarding this question but I have not found much solid information. However upon reading what I have, I discovered many people (most) stating that using even the smallest amount will certainly send the individual straight back to square one (day one of the opiate withdrawal) Obviously this must be different for each individual. I just seem to keep convincing myself that using a small amount when experiencing the very minor last effects of withdrawal will NOT send one all the way back to the first day and same level of severity. (Maybe I am just trying to bullshit myself to make myself feel better)
However if this is 100% true and backed up by solid factual information, well....I just fucked up. I have been opiate free completely for 3 to 4 days which I do understand is not a long time. (I just used a small amount of heroin, not enough to get high but just to make the anxiety go away and the slight flushing to go away). I have been a user of opiates throughout a big part of my life, mainly prescription pain killers. However recently I ended up forming a small 2week habit of smoking (chasing) heroin off foil (I have never injected, but I have occasionally used heroin in the past) I would say that the heroin was of moderate to weak strength and the same batch the whole 2weeks. The amount varied each day but was usually One or One and a Half bags a day (United Kingdom £10 bags) Unfortunately I am unable to tell you what the weight of these bags was but it was a small amount, one bag usually smoked in one sitting, however I was sometimes surprisingly high from one bag (perhaps I am slightly miss-judging the strength) even though I do have a tolerance to opiates. PLEASE HELP!! I really do not want to go through this again, I have experienced much worse withdrawals but I simply can not let my loved ones notice again and I am in the process of moving house and restarting my studies in the next week or so!
Your help is much appreciated and I hope I have not thrown myself back to the beginning as I had an opportunity to withdraw without anyone being around these last few days, however this will not be the case after tomorrow.
Best Regards to all
