Opioids Using loperamide(Imodium) for heroin withdrawals- does it work?

^^Idk maybe,but still i dont think ppl should get on forums and start recommending things they have no clue about.

Naltrexone is used to prevent relapse by blocking the receptors,is given to long term users and its a full antagonist,meaning its has no(positive) mood altering properties whatsoever,and pretty much no upside to it(unlike bupe,which is a partial agonist).

Youre supposed to be clean AT LEAST 4-5 days off of hard opiates to be safe to take it,and at least 3-4 days off weaker ones(like codeine).

Loperamide works only for the shits, period! People claiming it acts as an opioid in high doses may or may not be right however to take a dose that big is to take a toxic dose of loperamide The high amounts of loperamide people claim is needed for a high will do more damage than good thus the rule that opioids don't cause organ damage will go out the window once one takes this high amount. I once ate 1/4lb poppy seeds, getting a definite unmistakable buzz I ate another 1/4lb to a total of 1/2lb poppy seeds in my stomach. Thanks God I didn't get intestinal blockage but I couldn't shit for days and when I did it was painful due to the 1st part consisting only of globs of poppy seeds and 2nd part seeds mixed with poop, less painful.

it helps for the shits and some physical withdrawal. i find it doesnt do much unless use in conjunction with other WD drugs suchs as clonodine, kratom, and gabapentin/lyrica, xanax, etc..

sometimes the mental WD are the worst part of the battle and taking something that is an opioid even though it doesnt cross the BBB will help. also knowing that you wont shit yourself if you accidentally shift positions or let out a fart is kind of nice aswell
