Using high doses of Codeine Phosphate for Opiate Withdrawal

Not sure what to say.. codeine should help your oxy detox... maye its the first week that will be most painfull, but then the codeine should start working....

Do you have any oxy left, mybe you should taper the oxy till u you're at about 50 or 60mg per day, then switch to codeine...

other option is to do a short taper off subs

not to bump an old topic unnecessarily, but I can contribute a firsthand perspective.

when I was in oxy withdrawal, mind you a way smaller daily dose (~80mg), I cold water extracted a ton of AC&C OTC pills and drank a few sips so maybe 80mg of codeine? every time I felt especially bad and it really helped, allowed me to go to work and stop shitting/puking etc.

since I quit and almost relapsed hard I've been taking 320mg of codeine once a day. it takes away all cravings for other opiates, the main effect lasts a good 5-6 hours, and I feel fine and don't start going into w/d at all (which is very mild) until maybe 20 hours after my last dose, which is incredible considering I've been keeping this up for a while.

Can't get on subs or methadone since I'm broke and the parents would fine out, so this solution seems to be the best one at this point. It costs me ~$2.50 a day and I have none of the "oh-fuck-where-am-I-getting-more" anxiety that came with maintaining a pill habit.

It's not a question of perception, scientists don't read in the stars. The dose is a maximum of 60mg every 5 hours for a maximum of 240mg daily. If you take more you are using it recreationally.

You are wrong. The recommended maximum daily dose is 360mg. The maximum single dose of codeine is 60mg every 4 hours. (6 times a day)
