Using Heroin for 1 and a half year... 1 bag on a daily dose

Hey Nimbuz and welcome to BL:) This forum is drugs in the media and its purpose is to discuss topics surrounding drugs that are in the news.

Im going to transfer your thread to Sober living as you will get some great advice and information there.

EDIT: You dose the full bag once daily?

^^ If your dose is what NSA was guessing it is, then it won't be too bad at all. That's about the dose I was at when I quit (ranging from .15 to .25 per day), and this has been the absolute easiest detox I've ever gone through. Like, a .5mg dose of Suboxone can hold me all day and I'll feel fine AND get a full nights sleep without waking up even once. Back in the day when my habit was bigger, like when I got clean last year and I was at anywhere from .4 to a gram a day, Suboxone didn't fully work. And I was taking 4mg of Subs per day for the first few days, not .5. Honestly I could have done it without the Suboxone and just been REALLY uncomfortable (but not necessarily in pain) and unable to sleep for a few days, but I have school during the week so it wasn't really an option. Plus why be uncomfortable when you have Suboxone around anyway lol

I don't wanna tell you that you're for sure going to have this super easy time detoxing, because obviously everyone's body and pain threshold are different, and a lot of it also depends on how proactive you are in helping yourself get better during the withdrawal process. But yeah, just know that whatever you feel, it could be A LOT worse.

idk about PAWS cuz I'm not there yet.

Please also share if your useing it one dose or splitting it and dosing multiple times throughout the day. If you are only dosing once a day then you may have a very small physical dependence and facing the addiction will be an instant focus. If you split the bag up and dose multiple times a day then you may have acquired more of a physical dependence, but at the dose you are at you should have a pretty doable time through the acutes. PAWS are always had to predict, but there is a good chance that these will be pretty mild as well. Since this seems to be your first time detoxing then you may not agree with our ideas of doable and mild, but everything is relative, so it may not feal doable or mild.

You will be in acutes for a bit, but they will pass in under a week and you will feal much better. With a habit that is nice and reasonable like yours I hope you experience pretty mild if any acutes.

Here is some good information on medications that can be explored for acute relief and some great information on PAWS.
