using hemp to light ur bowl

on lots of youtube videos iv noticed people lighting a stran of hemp hanging from the ball of hemp,iv been wondering about this latley so if i were to go aquire a ball of hemp,am i looking for the natural stuff,or the stuff with a waxy coating,i have availabilty to both i just dont wanna spend 10 bucks on the wrong stuff,wouldnt be bad if i could make necklaces lol but for my intentions id rather get the right hemp.

Its called beeline. Made in hawaii. Beeswax covered hemp cord. Does not really make a diff in flavor....maybe in your head it will tho. i STIC W/ THE BIC
 
yeah beeline is cool if you can find it or want to order some online..

as for me though, im with arobskittle, i stic with my bic
 
As people have said, it's called beeline, and I can only just taste the difference, but then I don't get the chance to smoke really nice weed. I would probably use it if i had some primo stuff.
 
tbh, whats the point of lighting something to light your weed?
couldnt you just light the weed?

and nobody give me that bullshit about taste, cos when you pull a fat bowl thats the last thing you notice.


EDIT- in fact, if you want to light a pipe or jay without "ruining" the flavour with a gas lighter, take a coctail stick or a piece of stem, light it, blow it out
(so that its smouldering red/orange), put it in the bowl as u inhale and mix the weed around with it.

it will light your weed and give a clean taste if thats your thing.
no need to go out n spend money, just take a stem from your stash ;)

Taste is one (totally legitimate) reason..

People also use things like beeline for a lower burning temperature, a butane lighter puts off alot more heat than is actually needed to enjoy herb.
 
also nice because they stay lit, lighters can be a bit of a bitch when they start to run out of gas and such.
 
I would start out with matches (not the sulpur end) and see how u like it. If u cant taste the gas when u use a bic, well u aint gonna appreciate using hemp.

That's what I was wondering? Why light some hemp string on fire when you can just use a lighter or matches?

No you do not taste the gas or butane from a lighter or sulfur from matches when you smoke herb or cigs.

I agree that it seems completely pointless.
 
It's really handy when you need light for longer than the lighter can provide. My buddy bought like a six pack of the spools so we had like 1000 feet of beeline and he gave me a bunch. I wrapped it around a lighter and it was fairly handy for lighting stoves and grills or candles that are hard to reach with a bic.

Also it wont get really hot like a lighter and burn you, but it wont go out on its own.... so you could get baked, forget, and light yourself on fire. no good.

I used it when it was free. it was novel. I would not pay for it.
