Using fentanyl patches for w/ds

I have a heavy habit.. maybe like a g of black tar a day. but it expensive..recently i came across some fenth paTCHES and i just wanted to know if i slapped one on if it will stop my need to shoot up every 4 hours
 
You didn't say what strength the fentanyl patches are? Regardless, it's very hard to know since street heroin varies SO much in purity (you also didn't mention whether you were smoking it, injecting it or what). If you could tell us what strength the patches are (it's in mcg/hr) maybe we can help you determine how safe wearing a fentanyl patch is likely to be and how long after application you should feel its full effects.
 
It will probably take away your need to shoot up if it is a 100mcg/h patch. I say probably because I have no idea how potent your tar is. They usually worked 50+ hours for me.
 
It probably won't because it isn't going really be euphoric at all...it is really just a sedating opiate, not really a euphoric one. You probably won't suffer withdrawals with it on depending on the dosage but it won't take away your cravings for heroin. Also once you take it off you can expect withdrawals to follow.
 
Therpurity of the tar is here is about 40-70 percent on a good day, and I am injecting it. The patches are 72 hour strips..Other than that I dont know much else. and im not worried too much about the euphoria. there is a drought where i live and heroin is hard to come across for the mean time. So the answer is pretty much this : It will stop you from getting sick, but it will not replace heroin. period. am i correct? also when do you think the best time to apply the patch is after my last shot of dope.

Also i heard you can place the gel on a sugar cube and let it dissolve into the cube. then ya cut it into 4 peices (equal) and eat peices of it.

Yes, typically fentanyl transdermic patches last up to 72 hours, but it should say on the patch or box what strength it is, either way, it minimum it will take away your withdrawals for sure. If I were you, I'd get 1-2 more patches, use those for another week, then switch to suboxone for maybe a week tops, tapering down gradually and
then you'll have very minimal withdrawals if any at all and you'll be clean!! If that's what you want...

To answer other questions, NO, it will not replace heroin, as black tar heroin = diacetylmorphine/6-MAM/unreacted morphine/acetylcodeine mixture and fentanyl is fentanyl but fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that does same thing essentially but is shorter acting. It will stave off your withdrawals, how much so is hard to say based on strength of your dope.

Too bad CC is in a drought, maybe you should move up to DFW, no shortage of heroin up here lol.
 
It depends a lot on the TYPE/brand name of the Fentanyl patch system. Gel or non-gel? What strength? 25, 50, 75 or maybe 100 mcg/h? We need to know this information to help you more. Nongels are the most effective with gumming, from my experience while gel ones are much more abusable. You live in the USA so both are quite common. I am quite sure it will keep your withdrawal symptoms at bay either way if used correctly and effectively.
 
Keep this contained to the original topic, not a discussion of the various types of heroin you've done in the past, as it is at best speculative in relation to calculating doses for fentanyl.
 
Slapping on a patch (especially one of the higher dosage ones) would most likely keep you out of bad W/D's (unless your tolerance is super high), since you're planning on using them transdermally instead of abusing them. Like everyone else has said it depends on the strength of your H as to how it will affect you. Also, as Mass08 said, the mental need to slam H probably won't be as easily dismissed as the withdrawals.
 
I like how my posts were deleted yet I was just responding to what corpus christi/pirates said, about HIS experience with other types of heroin. I only answered his questions.
 
I should help. I dont know how strong your patches are or how strong your smack habit is. Ive got a nasty iv opiate habit myself. I got some of the fent patches you could not abuse and ended up wearing them. They seemed to help with wds. I find the best drug to kick with is suboxone. I dont take much though at all. If I want to kick I go about 1.5 days without using till Ive been in full blown wds for a bit and take like half a strip so I can get some fluids in, eat, stop shitting, and maybe sleep. Ill take subs for a couple days and then I go back to detoxing. Thats if you want to quit. But yeah I digress fent is a strong drug, but it depends on the dose and your habit. It should take the edge of things and may help out a bit or alot.
