Using cannabis for insomnia - is it more powerful than, Melatonin/Chamomile/Valerian?

What, it seem's mysterious why my early experience's were like it would knock us out.

That was never replicated, when I take melatonine nothing happens. it used to, but never did that again. Was that due to the formulation or my constitution.

Absinthe as sleep medication, interesting. Last time, and only time, i had the real thing. Absinth. It wasn't that sedating, less then Ethanol.
 
I tried cannabis last night, strong indica strain.

It did KO me good for about 3 hours, but then I had to fall back on my former sleep aid at 3 am.

Also, getting stoned every night to sleep is something I will absolutely not do, primarily cause it makes me feel like absolute dog shit.

Different people respond to drugs differently, and most recreational/psycho-active drugs make me feel awful.

Melatonin aka Circadin - for some reason, I got a raging boner after dosing it last night.

And today, it felt like I would have humped a catchers mitt.

As in, it was actually embarrassing what desperate horny bastard I was all day today.

Unfortunately this is another one for the "tried and failed" list.

yea like how does it make you feel like dog shit? when you wake up in the morning you feel like shit? are you smoking and then going to sleep like 15 minutes later? you need to explain that a little more

Nothing to be hon oust, smoked weed took Mirtazepine, very selective Anti-histamine 7.5 mg. Still awake.

Tortured by thought's concerning my kid's and all the fucking law breaking shit happening around my visiting right's I can do nothing about.

I 'll have a toke in a few sec's and hed back to bed, been up since 5:00. So I should be tired. Sure i am tired but sleepy, no.

sorry to hear you're dealing with that - try to keep your chin up - i ended up with full custody after i went through it all, believe it or not

Still going through that myself. Seems my drug habit spends are catching up to my child support bill now as a result and I'm falling into debt.

Unhealthy coping mechanisms rule, okay!
 
so does melatonin work at all if you took it toward the end of an lsd trip?

somebody must know the answer to that

So I sort of did this once by accident. Some time in high school, senior year, I'm waiting all night on my buddy to come through with the acid I had already paid for. He takes so long I figure I got fucked, so I took a melatonin to get ready to just pass out. Literally seconds after I swallowed that little fucking pill my cell phone rang.

I go out to meet my guy, he hands me my two hits and.... I fucking drop them on the ground. It's like 11pm, mind you, and my parents are still up and aware that I'm movin' around outside. My guy peels off, I can't find my hits.... so I went inside and got a flashlight. Came back out and after what felt like way too fucking long I found my two pink elephants. Popped 'em in my mouth right on the spot.

Went inside and laid down on the couch. Woke up at 4:39am and everything was blood red. Like a snapchat filter over my eyes. I looked around for a bit, came to the realization that I just wasted two hits of fucking acid, got a drink and went back to sleep.

It's really weird how vivid my memory is of that night.

Oh wow - so it kinda nullified it...but those things were like rolling around on the ground and shit too so theres a few variables here

They look actually pretty accurately dosed on average.

I take 9mg a night. I think 6mg is probably better. I certainly have pretty vivid dreams (i also take 75mg of diphenhydramine and 4g of phenibut a night) 🤷🏻‍♂️

Absinthe contains a GABA-A antagonist which would offset the ethanol (thus less sedating as you mentioned). In high school i gave a capsule full of wormwood oil to a friend of mine (i was too afraid to consume it myself). Should have had a good amount of thujone. Good thing he didn't have a seizure.
