Using a paintball CO2 Adapter as a N2O Cracker

As the title suggests, I am trying to find a safe alternative to a nitrous cracker, and have stumbled across the following:

After scouring the net, I have come across one mention of a guy who was planning on trying it, but he got detoured and ended up making one out of hardware store parts... I would much rather have a device that was expressly made to handle this sort of thing instead of being peppered with make-shift cracker shrapnel or ending up with a rocket engine.

So, has any one of you guys and gals done this?

If the cartridges are the same size & pressure it should work. Although I am curious as to why one would go this route as a cracker or better yet a cream whipper, can be gotten on the cheap.

^Well, without getting into specifics, I have a gift card for a certain online retailer, the Caanadian side of which is totally gung-ho on not serving us filthy drug users and do not carry crackers, only dispensers. And shipping is rediculus on those. I may just go ahead and get one anyway.

N20 chargers are 93 x 38 x 62 mm

C02 chargers are 95 x 89 x 57 mm

From the above, i gather the co2 chargers are twice as wide as the N20... Eh, I don't want to waste my money.
