Used Heroin After Taking Suboxone, Continue Suboxone?

Hey guys, yesterday I took heroin after taking suboxone earlier in the day, which obviously did fuck-all. Now it's the next day and I'm wondering if I can just keep taking suboxone, or will that precipitate withdrawal? Even though the dope was blocked? I'm kinda traumatized from getting PWs last week so I figured I'd check first..

you should be good. you could always wait it out just to be sure though. if in 18 hours you dont feel ill you are still maintained on the suboxone because the dope would be gone at that point and you would know you are starting to WD.
 
Being on suboxone the pw scared the shit out of me and I researched the hell out of it and found that you need to be in some sort of withdrawal to be for sure but then again everyone is different and I hated waiting .
 
just out of curiousity what dose of bupe were you on that the heroin didn't work? I used to take as much as 6mg dailyl leading up to the day id use then usually 2mg in the morning, 6-12 hours later I was getting high as a kite on dope. Now I take 1mg and there is practically no blockage, espeiclaly since when I use I have only taken my mornign .5mg dose.
 
I'm not currently on steady maintenance, I was on 8mg a day for around 9 months, doc retired leaving me no options, and I ended up relapsing. Got a new doc now about to go back on the 8mg. But that time I took the dope it was my first successful attempt at taking subs (as in no PWs). Well earlier today didn't wait for the advice to roll in here, and decided to just take the subs. I decided to IV a small amount, because I figured if I did get PWs theyd come fast and leave fast that way (been that way in my experience at least). I did get a slight precipitate effect. Chest got really hot and I got cold and clammy, it was a loooong ways from the other time last week though..ugh. So now I'm properly inducted on my maintenance so I guess I can just keep taking the subs finally! Yay! Fuck you heroin!
 
If you've been maintained on bupe for a while and only did the dope once, feeling nothing at all due to the blocking effect.. you should be good to go and not experience any PW's.. in theory at least.
