more generally speaking, whatever we do we have to balance effectiveness against troublemakers with inconvenience for regular bluelighters so there will always be a hoop or two to jump through. if you're only thinking of yourself then, yes, i can understand it might seem like "stupid ass shit" but when you consider the site as a whole, it hardly seems like the major burden you imply it is.
