Yo, i have some really shit stuff that needs a wash, usually i use acetone which takes a while to properly dry. I read though that using ethanol is a quicker process. Is the whole process the same as using acetone though? (Brown filters, draining etc) im not worried about losing a bit of product due to more water in ethanol. I couldnt find a thread solely based for ethanol.

Has anyone got any experience/methods using ethanol?

Lastly, will this ethanol work? Or what should i be looking for when buying ethanol. Thanks

Sorry for the mass questions also, just in a rush today!

I highly recommend generous use of epsom salts over obtaining solvents from actual chemical suppliers. Unless you are buying alcohol in very large quantities, you'll always be better off financially buying and dehydrating some everclear. Plus you may need a license to buy 200 proof ethanol in a lot of places, and you don't need one to score everclear.

you cannot dry ethanol effectively with magnesium sulfate though

Either way, cocaine salts are soluble in ethanol, making it unsuitable for a wash.
