US House Votes to Ban New Synthetic Drugs (including 2Cs)

Does this cover methoxetamine? It hasnt hurt anyone!!! They can do away with the fake pot shit though i dont give a fuckkkk. EW.

You don't care about freedom, or the morality of allowing people to explore their own consciousness?
That is your right, but that puts you in the same room with the DEA, and all the drug war lovers.
This is exactly the attitude they hoped you would have.
"Because it doesn't affect my own freedoms, since I don't use that class of drugs, I don't care if you take this freedom away from everyone."
Just because you don't enjoy a drug yourself does not mean that you should be happy if it is made illegal.
Their net is closing tighter and tighter. If you don't care about the principles involved, but only the specific drugs that you enjoy, you are ultimately on their side.

Exactly! and while I know that new RC's hit the market to replace ones that are illegal, I feel that the more well known an RC is, the more likely for it to be banned.

I say this because okay, if this bill passes, then certain rc sales will go up as a result of market demand. Some people would like as MXE as just another "trip" and not as a distinct dissociative anesthetic.

It could one day become as popular as the 2c's are now and with drug popularity, laws soon follow.

Oh well I like my weed natural but damn the 2C's where nice but it wasn't a shocker that they would be banned.

Completely agree. I don't smoke Cannabis (I'm a Phenethylamine and Tryptamine guy myself), yet just this morning I signed a petition to get Cannabis legalised. I realise the importance of looking at the bigger picture here, that bans on these chemicals are an assault on our freedom to have the free-will to choose which chemicals we would like to ingest. The synthetic cannabinoids in real terms (of global averages) are exactly the same as 2C-C, 2C-E, Methoxetamine, MDPV and Mephedrone in terms of the fact that some people happen to like them (as with the afore-mentioned chemicals) and therefore should be allowed to make their own decisions about whether they want to ingest them or not.

The bastards! I only tried the 2Cs a few times but I liked them and I know others loved them, 2011 has been a bad year for freedom in America.

The 2Cs are definitely included in this bill. Excerpt:

The confusion comes from the fact the 2C's weren't included in the original bill, they were added after the bill went to committee.

Fucking amazing. That in just a few months time the JWH-250 I have in my possession will make me a criminal just for having it after the law goes into effect. Land of the free my ass.

They can kiss my ass if they think I am throwing it out or binging on it to use it up.

I still don't get why they're pursuing something so minute and inconsequential. I just look at drugs being illegal as completely moronic and have never had more trouble trying to understand so I gave up understanding. It just clicks in my head as being an issue that isn't important-legalize and I am likely to not make any more noise about the issue-along with many other americans. Hell we'd get support after raking in some welcome tax dollars. I don't think it would fix the economy but how bad could it hurt?

We have MUCH bigger problems in the U.S.A these days and I do not know who would disagree...How about they address real issues like unemployment?

What gets me is people on this board, or other boards that like their psychedelics or weed STILL thinking that these (gasp, God forbid) man made substances should be banned. I don't get it. If it happens at this level, it's not surpising that other people feel they should have a say on how I live my life and what I ingest. While I am the first to reach for seeds or a fungus to trip, it's a nice thought to know something like 2CC was around should I want that option. I am the first to reach for cannabis for a cannabinoid, but find all the synthetics fascinating even if some people write them off as dangerous. But the choice should be personal, not legislated.

The DEA makes more profit and has more of a reason to exist, the more random shit they throw up on their list.

Sucks 2C-H is on there. Well some good news is 2,5-DMB isn't listed on there so just about anyone can still make any of these in the US in 3-6 reactions with legal chems. What is them banning these compounds really accomplishing? Nothing and it won't ever but it's fucked up watching them try, they just don't get it. Hell when they ban 2,5-DMB there will still be all of the 4-subsituted 2,5-DMBs which actually make shit even easier and when they ban all of those 2,5-dimethoxybenzene is a duff away. After they ban that you can literally make 2C-Xs from film developers. There are literally thousands of chemicals that can be used to make these so I'm just going to stop there. This is why the drug war will never win when it comes to any drug made in a lab. A good example is 2C-B, been illegal for over a decade and everyone can still get it. Most companies offering it off shores didn't even stop shipping to the US due to the US ban. Not like they are writing 2,5-dimethoxy-4-anything on customs forms or ever have for that matter. If anything these compounds are already illegal under the current legislation. Fuck it lulz

I've finally found a reasonable explanation here.

The DEA has had a nearly impossible time trying to persecute drug labs who sell their product under the "RC" pretense. Well from the DEA's point of view (being the bunch of greedy narrowminded tools they are), it must be incredibly humiliating to stand by as drug makers escape through a simple legal loophole. And since legalizing drugs would contradict the very foundation upon which the DEA is established (drugz r bad), their only option is to ban them.

Well at least it makes sense now. If I made my living by inflicting cruel and unusual punishments on presumptuous citizens who think they have some right to decide what they put in their bodies, I wouldn't want those products legalized either.

Everyone? I can't get it and none of my friends even know what it is.

IMO, they're banning them not because they're dangerous, but because it's legality is proof that legalization isn't bad. I mean MDPV, JWHs, 2C-x, all this shit was legal, and it wasn't the fucking Apocalypse.

Yea man 2c-b dropped off when it became illegal for me, sucks cuz I had 20 hits and never got to try it, instead choosing 2c-i (which ive regretted ever since)...but to digress I live in the middle of nowhere and the interwebs is my friend.

example local price of xanax $forgotcantmentionbutalmostasmuchanextraspecialstarbuckscoffee .5 mg Interwebz phenazepam price, You figure that out. You see that would mean more with #'s there but w/e the point stands.

I hope they (the DEA) all die.

Sorry, I'm just tired of the stupidity of this reality.
