Hello everyone,
My name is Ana. I am a Research Manager for Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety (RMPDS), and I am posting here to recruit volunteers to beta test one of our research surveys.
RMPDS is a leading organization dedicated to protecting and promoting public health through scientific research, poison prevention, and advocating safe drug use. Our research studies have been used by many different organizations to design treatment programs, evaluate real-world drug use, and inform policy decisions. Our research track record can be found on our website.
I am recruiting volunteers to beta test a survey. This will help us ensure the questions can be understood by a diverse group of people who have used or may use street drugs. Your responses will be analyzed by our researchers to identify questions that may be poorly understood, wording that causes confusion, and your suggestions to improve question wording. Your responses will help our researchers make changes to the survey, which will increase its impact.
The survey questionnaire you are testing asks about the use of counterfeit drugs, or drugs that are made to look like a real pharmaceutical medication, but actually contain some other drug or nothing at all. It is a valuable tool in one of our research programs. The survey contributes largely towards our goal of having accurate, timely data on drug use which will help us inform strategies that may prevent drug overdose. The research study has been approved by the University of Colorado Institutional Review Board.
To test the survey, you may spend a total of 15-20 minutes of your time. This is an online survey with self-reported answers.
We are specifically looking for volunteers who:
