CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- Officials in Cherokee County said one teen has died and three others were hospitalized after suffering apparent drug overdoses.

<snip>

Police said they believe Lewis obtained the drug Phenazepam from the Internet. Officials said the experimental drug does not appear on the list of controlled substances in the United States. Investigators said they are working to identify where the drug came from.

They were probably mixing it with alcohal. That is the problem with research chems sooner or later the idiots and teenagers catch on tom the trend.

most likely ^ ^

phenazepam varies in potency so much now... and its so fucking potent per mg that people either don't get high or they get super fucked up and make bad decisions... or worse... die

Police arrested the homeowner, Kerrie Sue Chatham, 42, and charged her with distribution of a Schedule II drug

Which? Could've been a stim or could've been oxys.

Imagine getting caught with a big bag of white powder and having a dumb cop think it is cocaine and taste test before using the blue color changing chemical to confirm. Can we make an example out of someone?

lol, I've recently had an ER doctor, my psychologist, and my psychiatrist tell me that they've never even heard of phenazepam. Hell, I got pretty pissed at my psychiatrist when she said straight up that phenazepam doesn't exist, so I couldn't have taken it, and basically insinuated that I must just be stupid and have gotten scammed buying it cause it must be something else. Which made me even angrier cause' I'm apparently I'm the stupid one, when she's the one that obviously hasn't heard of a search engine (she also said and did many other idiotic things, needless to say I'm strongly questioning my continued treatment with her.)
Anyways, my point is that the first step to avoiding problems like this is for the medical community to actually accept the chemical exists...it's scary when you have to explain to your ER doctor what a chemical your on is.
On the other hand, it does make me confident that overexposure won't be an issue when 3/4 of people have never heard of it and many doctors refuse to even believe it exists.

I got busted in missouri with 8 different rc's and the cops didnt know what to charge me with.. first it was intent to manufacture then they dropped it to poss with intent and eventually they let me out on personal recon bond and my lawyer called me a few months later saying they dropped the charges because there was no lab report, no warrant and the reason for coming to my house was they committed a federal offense opening my mail.

I had a friend got caught with IIRC 5meo-mipt. They charged him with "presenting non-controlled substance as controlled" a class A misdemeanor. But then he got caught with a meth lab and they forgot all about that.
