Hey all,
Firstly I think a bit of background on me and my situation, I am a " recovering" addict I use the term recovering lightly as I know myself and that I will always be drawn to the use of mood and mind alternating drugs.
I used to be into the club scene so was a regular user of stimulants with my DOC being cocaine with the occasional MDMA pill when they actually existed and then I stumbled across a wonderful drug called oxycodone and I found myself in a world of bliss and soon pain as I became physically addicted.
Prior to this I have never tried nor been attracted to opiates, my use escalated to the point where I was using half a pack of the 10x 80mg tablets a day. My usual ROA was insuffilcation which I think is/was due to my previous use of cocaine. I have never and will never inject and this is not for any other reason that I hate needles.
So it came to a point in time where I was simply maintaing on large amount of oxycodone and due to an intervention I decided to get clean so I entered into a outpatient opiate detox using suboxone, I since transferred to a private clinic in the inner west due to the fact that it allows take always which made things much easier as I work full time etc and have managed to reduce to under 2mg daily I was originally started on 16mg.
The reason for the post is that I am randomly urine tested, it is not to determine if I am using for parole or anything and I know that once the samples are given they are placed in a fridge until collected by the testing lab so temperature etc isn't an issue other than when I hand the specimen jar it is sometimes felt to ensure warmth/heat is present.
So what I am asking is due to the addict in me and the fact for the short term that i will continue to use occasionally while also reducing my maintanance dose until I'm off totally I wanted to know if I was to store clean urine specimens jars in the fridge and then provide them when requested would they be able to determine the age of the sample?
If they are not the only other issue is the warmth which can be achieved easily with a heat pack on the container I use to carry it on me, but again mp by the time the lab gets the specimen it has been in the clinics fridge.
Thanks in advance and I know there are people who will want to flame me but I have come to terms that opiates will be a love/hate relationship for me for atleast the time being.
