Please excuse the format of this post. I am going with bullet points in the interest of brevity.

Been clean for 2 years
Had a relapse 2 months ago
I have been using meth daily since for about 3 weeks
Method of ingestion: Smoking using water bong filter or Asian styles
Combined with benzos for sleep and to "destress" the body, so to speak
Taking note of oral care and related factors

CONCERN
I have been having this ache that feels that it is in the nerves on the bottom right side of my teeth and jaw (sometimes with a slight tension headache

The pain has gotten pretty intense and it has been about 3 days now and I need advise on next steps.

i have done extensive research so you may assume that I understand all the basics at the very least

QUESTION
1) Do I need to see a dentist urgently or should I stop smoking for a few days and see what happens?
2) If I do need to see a dentist, is it OK to go in with meth in the system or while under the influence? For example - would it be more painful if i needed a procedure done? or would it somehow adversely affect the treatment and/or diagonsis?
3) Anyone care to share their personal experience related to the matter?

If you feel like you should see a dentist, then you probably should. I do not know the 'real' answer about if it would adversely affect the treatment, but every dental procedure I have had I was questioned extensively and in detail about recent drug use.

However, another possibility is the pain is from clenching your jaw for a long time.

Ok anything hurting in your mouth could be very bad you need to get it checked out you probably got an abscess or meth mouth. Quit using meth or brush and gargle right after. Dont use before going to the dentist. They will know and if youre really in serious pain and need meds dont fuck yourself over on that.....its probably for sure an infection of some sort

Heres something to keep in mind....if they needed to put you asleep you would not want to be high on meth. If they give you laughing gas and you do decide to use beforehand tell the dentist but its a stupid idea to smoke meth if your mouths hurting pleeeaassee dont

1) Yes, please go and see a dentist as soon as you can. If the tooth is dying and you leave it a few more days/weeks, the damage will be irrepairable. If you go now they may still be able to save your tooth. Plus it is very likely that the pain is just going to get worse anyway, and you don't want that.
2) It would be advisable to go to the dentist appointment when you're sober. I honestly can't say whether or not being high will have any adverse effect on how the appointment goes.

Good luck!

we don't do urgent thraeds here in BDD. you have been given good advice, go to the dentist and get it treated. Closing it now.

If anyone has any problems with my closing of the thread or think that it should be reopened then shoot me a PM
