First let me say it has been a long time since I've been here, so pardon me if this is the wrong area to post this or I make any other mistake.
BACKGROUND:
SWIM has a drug test coming up in just over 24 hours. He just snorted a few lines of meth about 7 hours ago, the last one being about 6:00am. His test is tomorrow at 3:45PM, so certainly not enough time for it to leave the system even if SWIM drinks a ton of water. SWIM forgot about this appointment and carelessly used a drug he hadn't done in about three years because a friend offered it for free. He has an excellent track record (gets tested once a month) and hasnt had a positive test in over a year and a half, and that was for marijuana. SWIM's psychiatrist believes he has been off hard drugs for years, but if the test is positive he will likely lose his anxiety medication and methadone, leaving him in horrible withdrawals and ruining his repoire with the psychiatrist, as well as his methadone clinic (who will be notified immediately).
QUESTION:
So... I need to know if a standard drug test can tell the difference between methamphetamine and say... adderall, vyvanse, or any other prescription stimulant. This is no high-tech test, just a basic 5 panel test I believe. If prescription stimulants and methamphetamine come back positive for just amphetamines, SWIM could simply say he made bad judgement and took an adderall or something along those lines.
This is an URGENT matter, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
LAST RESORTS:
Lastly, if the above idea will not work, I am open to any suggestions or ideas. Is it worth going to GNC and buying the same detox drink SWIM uses to test clean for marijuana? Apparently this particular product has never failed even within 24 hours of smoking marijuana, so do the same basic principles apply? SWIM is no chemist, but it seems that if it can clean THC, it should be able to do the same for Methamphetamine. (This is a last resort for SWIM as the product is over $60 and tastes horrible I hear).
Any constructive and helpful advice is appreciated. The clock is ticking... but bluelight has never let me or my friends down before so I'm keepin' my fingers crossed.
