Hello, I shot some MDMA the other night and apparently the first time, the person who was helping me shoot up missed. Now my arm is hurting like hell and is bruised. Do I need to seek medical attention or should I just wait it out? I have an intense fear of public hospitals and wouldn't be able to go the ER so I'd have to book in with a doctor or go to a private hospital, which would cost a lot of money. So I want to make sure I'm not overreacting. I'm a casual IV user, only once or twice a year so I've never experienced anything like this. Don't know if I'll be doing this again anytime soon! :( We also used cigarette filters, which I didn't realise was dangerous at the time. I didn't experience any negative side effects after injecting though.

EDIT: Okay I ordered a home visit doctor to be safe, what should I tell him?

Since you are having this person come around I would tell them the truth.. most likely they are going to know just about what went down anyway, minus what exact drug you shot.

The next part of this is not to replace a physician, but what are you referring to. The picture is not super definitive, but I see pretty much no sign of anything?

Well you can't really see it, but there is small bump on the injecting site and it is bruised and tender around it. I'm worried it could develop into something, as I'm also feeling nauseous and feverish, but it could an anxiety. Should I cancel the doctor and wait and see it keeps swelling? I don't want to see a dr for no reason. I am a hypochondriac though so I could definitely be overreacting to this. I guess I just haven't experienced this much pain after IVing before.

I think you are exspierincing symptoms of your hypochondria. To check if this is the case take your body temperature. A person prone to hypochondria is probably not the best fit for IV drug use.

Your arm looks better than mine and I haven't shot anything in years now. =D

Lol should I cancel then? It hurts whenever I move it, but that doesn't necessarily mean its infected does it? Like I said I don't normally IV it usually only happens when I'm already high and bad judgement gets the better of me. It doesn't look as bad when I look at photos of it, but when I look at it in the mirror it looks swollen. Maybe it is anxiety getting the better of me. It feels slightly raised though on the injecting site in comparison to my other arm.

I don't have a thermometer FYI.

I couldn't honestly say from the picture or your description. I will say that missing a whole shot of MDMA will hurt like fuck for awhile. Bruising and some pain is pretty normal. The fever would be a concern though. You already called the doc mine as well get checked out now.

Well the doctor barely even looked at my arm and gave me a script for antibiotics. I haven't taken them yet, as they really disturb my stomach. Wait and see if the swelling gets worse.

I didn't miss the whole shot, only part of it.

Thanks for the input.

If it is infected it would be wise to go ahead and start the antibiotics NOW. If you wait they, the antibiotics, may not be as effective and not strong enough to kill all the bacteria. If you don't knock it all out then it could come back.
