URGENT!: Calling 911 for med emergency and COPS?

Now my roommie want to go to the hospital (finally!).
Does anyone know if the police are less likely to show up if I call the hospital directly instead of 911?

call them and say its some kind of food poisoning and your friend is in delirium, or just give him benzos if you have

Thank you, but he's on his way, he told them he just drank too much. Cops did not come. I'm sure they'll figure it all out. Wanted to give him some benzos & opiates (for pain), but he's on probation, and the booze is enough trouble for him. Hell, it's gonna be enough trouble for me, I'm on probation too. Just hoping they don't decide to do regular house check-ups here now.

I'm not sure where you are, but some states/countries have 'good samaritan' laws, which mean you can't be charged for possession if you call the police from the scene of an overdose. You can still be charged for administering or dealing a substance, though - still worth having a google or calling a community legal service (if they have them in your area) and finding out what your rights are.
