So I have 250g of dried peruvian torch chips and decided to make tea with it. I've put the 250g in about 700ml of water and simmered it at just below boiling point for just over an hour. When I am about to strain the liquid into a container and add more water to the cacti for another boil, the liquid does not separate from the cacti at all. It is a thick gooey substance.
My question is, is it okay to drink this gooey substance and trip, rather than continuing to make tea out of it? Any input is greatly appreciated.
