Uprs vs Dwnrs

uppers tend to be more euphoric, but they also preclude sleep and carry with them come-downs that downers do not.
So it's a tie for me.

I'd have to say downers. I never really liked any uppers I've ever tried, It's just not my thing. Ephedrine was about the only one i could tolerate in small doses.
 
I don't like being all amped up, crazy and jittery and whatnot. It overpowers the euphoria IMO, but I've never tried coke or meth or anything. My upper experience consists of Concerta, about 70-80 mgs. Maybe I would like stims more if I tried less crappy ones.
 
you cant have uppers without downers. but you can have downers without uppers. but i prefer uppers. but downers are easier to deal with.

Yeah man I don't even consider Concerta a "real" stimulant ... it does nothing in the euphoria dept. and, to me, has no positive effects whatsoever.

I prefer downers. I have tried uppers and downers of all kinds and I have yet to find an upper than I prefer over half the downers out there.
 
Depends on the situation, sorta. Stims are great alone and with friends, opiates/downers are great alone, but with friends around you gotta factor in dope rage, or just being a nodding vegetable. On that basis stims win for versatility.
 
I vote uppers all the way.

This brings the count to 7 for uppers and 12 for downers. I didnt count any that voted for both.

But I must say that even though I participated in this vote and voted for uppers the two are completely different and I enjoy both at different times.
 
downers for sure. Uppers make you all sketched out, people notice the wacky quick actions, paranoia, makes you thin aka "the tweaker look", and just plain screw people up. Downers make you turn to shit, but it takes a while longer before it happens fully. lol. I've had both worlds and I would take the downer route for sure. You can't sustain a long term stimulant addiction without a lot of problems. Downers on the other hand are more sustainable.
 
ok, for the sake of brevity I'm requesting this be made into a poll with ONLY 2 OPTIONS:
option 1) uprs
option 2) dwnrs

albeit I really like to read people's explantion behind why they vote how they do, I am very interested in such; nonetheless, I think it'd be worthwhile to find out the results of the above 2-choice poll

I made the same suggestion behind the scenes when this thread was first made.
I didn't make it into a poll since I'm not sure what the current OD mods' position is on polls in OD. (They were banned by previous mods, etc.)
 
Depends. Mostly downerz. But people have to study/work you know. And there's always the coke's ringing.
 
I repeat, this thread's been done (and better, on top of that) in the Drug Culture forum. I'm with the Real Fatman in saying, UTFSE n00b.

However, I'm both an upper and a downer person depending on the context. Uppers are great for when I need my wits about me and want to party like a rockstar, while I'm heavily into downer for relaxation, escaping from the world and also partying like a very sloppy rockstar.
